Drunken retarded monkey textured another commission image - Empire At War Remake: Galactic Civil War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
This mod catapults Empire at War into 2077. It maintains the game's design philosophy, while adding new units, better graphics, and deeper gameplay.
The Titan commission is complete! This time special thanks goes out to Adamancy for commissioning this one, it turned out far better than expected, and pushing me to set up the Discord server, the Executor Project, and the Patreon page.
The Titan is a merging of the Imperial and Allegiance class star destroyers onto a larger, stealth-capable hull. As such, the main batteries of the Imperial and Allegiance classes are also on the Titan. You can see the hardpoint layout in the picture as well. Let me know in the comment section what you think about the ship!
The Titan is now in the add-on section as a free release, both the version with and without the stealth mesh.

Thanks! The original Titan concept did have a sharper hull, so me and Adamancy decided to stick to that. I actually hated the model when I first started, I restarted the superstructure many times because I didn't like it every time. Eventually I settled on this and damn, I'm very happy with how it eventually turned out, especially since I hated it so much at the start.

I always considered you to be one of the moddb EAW elite (not that I am putting anyone down) and I am kinda surprised about what Burnstrobe said. I know each modder has there own type of style of texturing and love all of them. ( Apart from normada) but can't fellow modders respect each peoples work?

It's not so much about respecting eachothers work, as it is that strobe bullied some of the most talented people out of modding, that almost included me (not that I was any good at the time, but other people were), and now no one but me is left to remember it. And I will not let it go, or stop calling him out for what he's done. And he hates me for it. So naturally we don't get along very well. Of course, he will tell you something else entirely.
I normally keep it private, but sometimes he PMs me funny messages like that and I feel like that gives me a free pass to make fun of it.
I recall one time in particular, someone who did sound effects, Afro ninja yoda, who strobe was talking about to someone (might've been me, I don't recall) where he said that he was really bad and a pain to work with, having to constantly talk to him. Then Afro, him, me and some others got into a different chat, that didn't have those chat logs and he was complimenting him on what a great job he did on something, and that he really was an important part of the team. That's the point where I said "This is ********." to myself and told Afro in private chat what strobe really thought of him, with screenshots of the other conversation. Needless to say, he left after that. Turns out, that sort of manipulation happened a lot with Strobe. ******* shame too, since he was actually great at what he did. He occcasionally still does some sound files for Remake, and I make sure to thank him every time that he's still willing to drop in and out of modding to help me. That's about the best example I can give. When I brought it up to strobe a few years ago to confront him with it, he said afro "Left for university." So that's where Strobes headspace is at.

YOU , Jeroen buis, said all that. You were immature, arrogant, insulting to my entire team, and were just a complete Royal *******. It's even more amusing that the name of the PM where you had this war against me is called "Please Stop" - which was from a previous chat where I asked you to stop talking to me and stop causing issues about our work.
You admitted the next day you were drunk and apologized to me also. I have this chat save and I will gladly post the entirety of it for anyone to read it if that is what it takes to get you to finally leave our project alone.
For the last time, our team (45 members strong of the best talent in the community) kicked you out of our group. Give me a few hours and I will code it to our website. I find all of this very childish. We at the vong project never mention any other mod. We do not comment on other modders, and we never compare our work to others. We thank everyone for voting us #1 upcoming mod of the year, and we continue to focus on our own work. I will not post this private chat to mod db, because our mod db site remains professional and focused on our own work. I will post the chat and will even highlight specific statements that jeroenimo said to our private website.
Hopefully then this drama can stop and jeroenimo can stop terrorizing the vong project.

He made them with us. Warb and I taught jeroenimo how to model. I taught jeroenimo detailing and asked (begged actually) for warb to coach jeroen years ago. Jeroenimo is a great model maker, I have never denied this. The vong project is on a deadline to finish soon. We use the best material given to us by any modder, quality is quality personal opinions of creators aside. The vong mod's focus is to finish a complete mod and give it freely to the public. No costs, no special permissions for use needed. We make our mod and give all released assets free for use. We only ask to credit our work and nothing more. To expedite the release for everyone, we don't want to waste time redoing models. But, many models from jeroenimo have been cut from our mod, I think we only use about 5 in total out of our 300 some models.

This goes against our team structure, for the vong team votes on decisions, and classical music was not wanted. We wanted space and Star Wars music. Our music is now complete and we have other sound editors.

His models are great, he jointly made them with us, and our star destroyers have more detail added. Why would we not use them?? They are very good models, and I will go on record to say jeroenimo did a good job making them.
It's not about personal fame for us, it is about giving the community the best product we possibly can.

Does that 5 include Jeroenimo models that you've altered? And then neglected to credit as partly his work until someone called you out on it?
Jeroenimo specifically stated he would not make the executor UNTIL he was funded money first.
This is completely different than asking for a casual donations. He advertised the executor, and specifically stated he would not make unless he received money.
Not only is this copyright infringement of Directly profiting off of the name/concepts of Star Wars, but to hold modding essentially for ransom is just plain horrible.
He also posted several good, reasonable explanations as to why such a large task (which people have constantly asked him to do despite past refusals) would require an outlay of capital.
Ransom?!?! It's not like they couldn't go elsewhere if they wanted an executor.
And it's only the same as people doing commission work, which is not an exclusively modding thing either.
As far as i know, Bills doesn´t pay themselves, and the Executor is going to cost about 120h of work, also Jeroenimo stated that he will not start the Executor until it was fully founded to avoid problems later.
The executor was Crowfunded by a lot of people, myself included, and believe me, i didn´t feel being blackmailed for it...
Also,if i´m not mistaken the full 19km Executor will be another FREE release for everyone so...

It is not. Legally an act can only be considered copyright infringement if a copied product is sold without legal consent of the copyrights owner. A donation is never considered an act of purchase, it is a donation, thus it doesn't have a commercial purpose. You can not get back your donation, if you do not have a legal agreement of a product being delivered to you (in which case it seases to be a donation,and becomes a purchase) with the person/company you donated to. There is no commercial product in this story from a legal standpoint.
You can't make a Michael Jackson moonwalk street performer pay copyright fee for him performing and getting donations for it.

It was the best modding group. Now it's a facade propped up by the work or people who were later driven away. That's why they need to censor their comments.

I have always been a big fan of the wonderful mods this place has produced and as a amateur modder who once I get a new computer I would like to go deeper in to modding this game and it is these sorts of project that inspire me

Really what Caon and Nyan said, this has been bubbling underneath the surface for a while now, it seems.
Modding is very hard... this is why people take it very seriously.
It does not pay the bills, it does not apologize for sleepless nights, it doesn't even care that it might be taking time away from your family and loved ones. Modding only has one forgiving grace: it can make others happy, and that should be enough of a reward for any modder. Mod DB rules strictly state that mods cannot be sold for money and the concept of soliciting services for profit (not just asking for donations, but instead directly asking for money first) is an extreme grey area that borders closely on being illegal. This IS being monitored.
I have not doubt that making a high quality model does take time. This model below for example has taken me 2 days, and we hope to have it textured and rigged by next weekend.
If you want to compete with us jeroenimo, do it through your work. Do not comment about us or talk about us on your site, and we will do likewise.

It doesn´t pay bills, but if you make good models why not have a small living for it?, certainly it will not allow you to retire, but hell, we are talking about a CROWFUNDING here, no one is being ripped, no one feels like is being cheated for it, so far Jeroenimo did MAKE what he promised, and this is enough for me.

Jeroenimo's executor will be released for free. Jeroenimo's mod will be released for free. He has not held anyone to ransom since as you have just pointed out, good quality executor models are out there. Therefore no one was forced or coerced or blackmailed into paying into Jeroenimo's executor fund. Instead a group of kind, generous people decided to help support Jeroenimo out so that he can fulfil something they've been asking for a long time.
