This mod catapults Empire at War into 2077. It maintains the game's design philosophy, while adding new units, better graphics, and deeper gameplay.
As I mentioned before, there's a lot going on behind the scenes, and I usually work on more than one thing at a time. Currently I am working to prepare my Old Republic mod for its release, but I didn't want to neglect my love project, so I made some renders of what I've been working on for that.

It looks more mandalorian now.
It's still the consortium, but I do want to make their ships a little different, I'm not going to change them to the Mandalorians, I'm not as good as Farseer, he has Rise of the Mandalorians, which is what you're looking for if you want the Mandalorians as a faction.
Exactly, i've yet to play a mod that does not replace the consortium with mandos like Rotm or with just pirates like for example alliance. Someone has to make the consortium badass :P

They are so different from the other factions, and overpowered as ****, that's why nobody likes them, I want to change some of their ships around so they wont be that overpowered anymore, yet they should remain interesting and different.
Make it the underworld faction, with black sun, hutt cartel swoop gangs... You could find an inspiration in this as well and it could balance the consormption.
Emm, no, "It's still the consortium" as I said 2 comments ago. I want the original FoC experience extended, like the mod description says, changing an entire faction doesn't go a long way to help that.

Will the AMS' be able to open and close on the Victory or will they just remain open?
The victory will have a deploy ability, when the wings are closed it'll use its turbolasers and ion cannons, when the wings are open the concussion missile banks located in the cilinders that make the wings open and close will fire along with the turbolasers, but the ion cannons will not fire. This way you can choose between missiles and ion cannons. They'll have roughly the same damage per second, so turbolasers alongside with either anti shield, or shield penetrating, your choice.
