Elements Of Style (EOS) should be very satisfying to the many people that have found Max Payne 2's original gameplay to be very flat and/or stale. Because of MP2's gameplay, many other mods sometimes feel stale after a while because the gameplay is still the same. EOS takes the Max Payne 2 gameplay and specifically refines it wherever needed while also making the combat so much more appealing and exciting. This mod has received perfect scores on every site it has been on. Download this mod and trust me, you won't be disappointed

Much More Satisfying GunPlay
-Bullets make glowing streaks through the air
-Bullets leave smoke trails ripping through the air
-Bullets can be heard as they travel with new Whizz sounds
-The screen shakes as enemy bullets come close to the player
-The screen flashes after each shot fired from the player
-The screen vibrates for every shot fired off from the player
-Bullets penetrate many objects
-Bullet impacts now squirt blood from enemies
-The Blood actually splashes onto the ground with effects and sounds
-Bullet impacts now eject thick smoke and debris
-Bullet impacts burst out glowing sparks from metal
-Bullet impacts tear through paper throwing floating pieces into the air
-Sniper bullet cam will also follow through with the penetration
-New grenade effects throw flaming particles into the air
-Player grenades now detonate quicker to catch enemies
-Grenade blasts throw enemies across the room to illustrate power
-Molotov Cocktail changed to throwing knives
-When tossed, they will get stuck the the enemies head as they
crouch in pain and later collapse
-Can be repicked up if it does not hit enemy
-Weapon melee much more powerful
-Screen shake on impact
-Berettas changed to Colt 1911s
-New Firing animation for single Colt 1911
-While standing Max will shoot with 2 hands
-While crouching or running Max will shoot with 1 hand
-Single Colt 1911 firing rates increased
-Dual Colt 1911s firing rates more equal.
-Desert Eagle firing rates increased
-Dual Desert Eagle firing rates more equal.
-Pump Shotgun has new reload animation that is more movie-like
-Shotgun spread values lessened to enhance power feeling
-Uzi firing rates increased
-Uzi spread values slightly increased to enhance its ability to rip up a room
-Mp5 changed to a UMP-45
-Iron Sight now featured
-Ak47 firing rate and power now close to real life counterpart

-Will kill 95% of enemies in 1 shot

-Grenade explosion effects changed
-Grenade explosions also "bend" the screen for about .5 seconds
-F.E.A.R. bullet ricochet sounds
-Enemy weapons sound different to give movie like quality
-Many weapon sounds changed for the better
-Player talking removed because to slight annoyance, also because 3dRealms wanted them out
-Explosion death animations changed to look less weird
-Tweaked Ragdolls for slightly improved deaths
-Blood decals more varied and different
-Blood effects now more violent

-AI aiming accuracies decreased for more chaotic and movie like shooting sequences

-Two "Launch" moves added to knock an enemy into the air to setup a finisher
-Sweep kicks trip the enemy into a prone position
-New KungFu kill cameras that only show up in bullet-time to prevent major annoyance
-"Super Move" "bends" screen
-KungFu death animations changed to look more cool
-Full moveset of KungFu kicks and punches
-KungFu 3.0 style standing and running KungFu moves
-Cameras added for every successfully landed power hit
-Power Hits send enemies flying away at high speeds
-You will be able to easily take out a entire room without getting hit
-Max has 2 hidden "Special Moves"
-Animations: Credits To "Close To Truth" for few animations

Recently, I have released an Elements Of Style Version 2.0 early Build Trailer put together by TriX. Though this build is outdated in 2.0, development wise, it does show off alot of new effects such as new bullet impacts, etc. and moves (including a suprising glimpse of the katana).

Trippy mod, Dalte. There haven't been that many Max Payne 2 mods that promise as much potential as yours does. I hear that there's going to be more stuff added to EOS 2.0. It would be hella bad ass if you added the kung fu from the original Max Payne's Kung Fu Edition 3.0 mod into your mod. That would make this mod even MORE trippy. LEGENDARY!! Heh... Just a suggestion, though. Good work and keep it up!
Cool Mod... Packed with all those matrix + F.E.A.R. style action... I'd have called this my favourite Max Payne 2 Mod if only the excessive smoke and particles don't crash my computer every time I play...
Sorry my fault those maps in the trailer were DMW maps not a standalone story.
Overall I'm really liking the mod a lot Max Payne 2 Almost feels like a new game mood wise you get a real sense of the carnage and damage you have done around you and also good to see that a flimsy cardboard box, drywall, wooden planks etc. don't stop bullets. The sounds I don't think ill ever be able to get used to the quiet whispers of the standard MP2 guns ever again.
Only one small problem I'm having whenever the nightmare or prologue levels are loading up for me I get this error.
Exception:
A Reference to shader Material "Glasses" defined in file "S_JimBravura_Indoors.txt couldn't be resolved

Those levels can be skipped by using the chapter jump but it messes with the flow of things when doing a New York Minute or DOA run. Despite this small problem great work all around can't wait to see EOS 2.0 if you ever do plan on making a next version.

atm its cool but there are some anoying things like the fire weapon shake
I downloaded the Mod File from Filefront but when i load up mp2 i see the loading screen then when its almost done it crashes
TheSpecialist = All weapons + KungFu + God Mode
GetAllWeapons = All weapons + KungFu
GetCloseCombat = KungFu
God = God Mode
When in kungfu mode, use primary shoot to throw quick punches.
Use different directions plus the ShootDodge button to do different attacks.
The moveset changes and depends on whether you are standing or running.
Please post any thoughts about this mod
how do you use kungfu? just take melee attack?
cuz they dont fly on my game :p

MY Mistake!!! I forgot to put it into a mp2m file
For now just put the data folder into your max payne 2 folder and run max payne without any mods.

I'm confused with how to inistall this It's not a .mp2m
I just downloaded EOS 1.5 and was wondering were those maps used in the trailer in 1.5 because when I do start up max payne 2 all have is the regular Max Payne 2 story maps.
Or is my problem that I just reinstalled Max Payne 2 and have to finish DOA mode first before those maps are unlocked for use?
