In the beginning, the king's heart is burdened by the malignant powers of Saruman. He is unable to fight, but, as king of Rohan, has nonetheless retained the power to inspire his men to defend him and the golden hall of Meduseld. Once 'Glory of the King' has been purchased, he may cast off Saruman's influence and ride to battle with his men. At level 5, he dons his war armor, again increasing his fighting prowess for the upcoming battle of the Pelennor fields.
