Excellent details on the shields, and very evocative, for the Good and the Bad of the Dwarven History around the Grey Mountains ;)

The overall lack of shadows is a bit off-putting. I see some under the belt it looks like, but nowhere else really. Just putting some more shadows where your layers overlap would make these guys look much better. It goes for the other two pics/units as well.

well my friend technically it is just one Folk ,because Ered Mithrin,Ered Luin,Erebor and Iron Hills are all Durin's Folk the Longbeards Clan! :)
It is more like 4 Kingdoms! :) Because the Orocarni are from different Clan and the Ancient Dwarf Kingdoms in Ered Luin were another Clans! :)

I know but ered luin had in the first century the great fortress Belegost so maybe you can creat a outpost where you can recrut some of this belegost dwarves or not

Belegost was a Dwarven Kingdom during the First Age of the Sun along with Nodgrod thats one of the reasons Edain will probably not add them they are from completely different Age and Edain Mod is based mainly on Third Age! Another thing is that in a way the Dwarves from both Realms(the survovivers of which weren't many) got to Khazad Dum and got mixed into the Longbeards of Durin's Folk! So in a way they already are in every other Durin's Folk Kingdom! :)

It's all good, but please, use less swords and more axes or hammers! That's more dwarven. Perhaps making battalions with mixed weapons would be perfect! That would add diversity too.

Each Kingdom has different Basic Weapons, plus Tolkien Dwarvs used all kind of Weapons Bows,Axe,Mattock,Hammer,Short Sword so I do not see a problem I personaly Like Sowrds the best and then Axes, being Dwarves is not always Axe and Hammer, look at Thorin II for prime example! :)

Description

We decided on purple as the colouring scheme for the dwarfs of Ered Mithrin, so that it's a clearly different colour hue in comparison to the other dwarf realms thus providing a clear distinction, moreover it can easily be associated with the overall red hue of the Iron Hills designs.
The pikes of the Hunters and the morning star of the Dragonslayers allowed us to use more design patterns from the Hobbit-movies. However, the basic design of the armour elements is oriented towards our former Veterans-design from prior versions.

We say thanks to themurloc99, who offers the basic texture of the shield for everyone. We just retextured it for higher solutions and created the model.
