The Edain Mod aims to take you deeper into Middle-Earth than ever before and create a game worthy of Tolkien's books and Peter Jackson's movies. In our quest for lore accuracy, visual quality and deeper gameplay, we overhauled every aspect of the original game to craft a new, immersive Lord of the Rings experience. Discover the new factions of Lothlorien and Rohan, field new units and heroes for each of the existing factions, enjoy a visual style closer to the movies and unleash the power of the One Ring with individual Ring heroes for every factions. Light or Shadow, Defender or Conqueror... the choice is yours.

Gondor Ring Heroes:

Gandalf The Grey
If Gandalf acquires the One Ring while being Grey he will use the ring for his own needs and become "corrupt". He will weaken allies in his presence and will damage them over time.

Gandalf The White
Should Gandalf acquire the ring while being White he will use the One Ring for the well being of all Men. Heroes and units close to Gandalf will be healed.

Boromir
Should Boromir take the ring, he will use it to defend Gondor from being destroyed. He will be able to permanently summon strong units but the One Ring will kill him in a certain amount of time. When the One Ring takes his life, the player will not be able to use any of the Gondor buildings (will not be able to build anything) for 30 seconds.

Rohan Ring Heroes:

Radgast The Brown
Should Radgast The Brown acquire the One Ring, his bond with the nature will grow strong. He will be able to use the power of the One Ring to summon a mighty tree which will be able to call the forces of the nature to aid you in battle.

Imladris Ring Heroes:

Elrond Of Rivendell
Should Elrond acquire the One Ring he will use it to crush the enemies of Middle Earth. His powers will grow significantly and his sword will gain on power and strength even without his powers.

Lothlórien Ring Heroes:

Queen Of Storms (Galadriel)
Should Galadriel acquire the One Ring and use it, she will become a Queen of storms "And now it comes to it at last. You will give me the One Ring freely! In place of the Dark Lord, you will have a Queen, not dark but beautiful and terrible as the daw, treturous as the sea, stronger then the foundations of the Earth. All shall love me and despair!" In this form she'll attack with one of the mightiest AoE-Attacks ingame. The player will not be able to use Mirkwood buildings anymore.

Queen Galadriel
Should Galadriel not take the One Ring, she accepts her diminishing and will be blessed by the Valar. She will be knows as Queen Galadriel. She will summon Frodo and Sam on her side (Frodo will be in possession of the One Ring).

Dwarves:

The One Ring must be placed on Durins grave so that he may live once more. Durin is the grandfather of the Dwarves.

Isengard:

Saruman
Saruman takes the One Ring and if he should be able to control the One Ring he will become Saruman the Blessed, he will receive some new powers and his attack will be pure Lightning. However, should Saruman fall to the One Ring's will he will become Saruman the Cursed, gain new powers and his attack will be pure fire.

Mordor:

The Necromancer
The Necromancer is Sauron itself in a Necromancer form. When he takes the One Ring back he will take his old form as the Dark Lord but not all his powers will be restored. He need's the ability Power Of The Past Age (the spellbookpower "Macht vergangener Zeitalter" ) to restore all of his powers and to cast a shadow over Middle Earth and to start the Fourth Age as the Dark Lord ruler of all.

Goblins:

Shelob
When Shelob eats the One Ring, she will start growing as her level increases and she will become more powerfull then ever.

Smaug
Should Smaug receive the One Ring, he will use it's power to eradicate all who oppose him, starting with the Elves. He will be permanently on the Battlefield. (The One Ring must be taken to the Treasury building in order for Smaug to be built).

Angmar:

The Witch King
If the Witch King receives the One Ring he will cast an everlasting winter on everyone and everything. Buildings will freeze causing 25% less production and slower build of units and on own and allied buildings the ice around them will make the enemies freez.

You get randomly Saruman the blessed or Saruman the cursed.
@ Deadranger:
As deathteam said, Arnor has the same mechanics as Gondor.

Was my pleasure making this :)

A few feedback's: Here at Mordor faction, The Necromancer isn't underlined :P
And as for Shelob, is it normal or when she acquires the One Ring she gains a new level very very slow? It's like she needs a million exp points :D
