East front is realistic a ww2 based first person shooter game based on the battlefields of eastern europe between 1941 and 1945, it is currently under development using the Enemy Territory (Quake 3 based) engine and a team of artists and coders creating 3d content and features.

This patch has the following changes: * Reduced bot CPU usage by about 65 to 80%. Most servers should now be able to use 62 bots. * Reduced CPU usage of NPCs by about 50 to 70%. Most servers should be able to use the max value (unless running bots as well). * Fixed enemy locating code for bots and NPCs. * EF AI is now multithreaded, on windows a large percentage of AI code now runs on a second CPU if you have one. * Improved navigation code for bots and NPCs. * Bots that are stuck for 45 seconds

Here's the latest patch for the current version of EastFront.

You can get the 16/01/2008 update from here.

Installation:
1. Download and install the original mod.
2. Download and install the previous 4 updates. (you can actually skip the one before this if you want)
3. In the downloaded archive you will find 2 directories (ef and etmain). Simply extract each directory's contents into your appropriate ef or etmain folder.

Changes:
* Reduced bot CPU usage by about 65 to 80%. Most servers should now be able to use 62 bots.
* Reduced CPU usage of NPCs by about 50 to 70%. Most servers should be able to use the max value (unless running bots as well).
* Fixed enemy locating code for bots and NPCs.
* EF AI is now multithreaded, on windows a large percentage of AI code now runs on a second CPU if you have one.
* Improved navigation code for bots and NPCs.
* Bots that are stuck for 45 seconds will now suicide to reduce lag and latency.
* Fixed some other misc code for bots and NPCs.
* Added the new MP-40 model to the game.
* Added the fog fix pk3 that was missing from the previous versions. (needs to be in etmain for some strange reason).
