ESF Is a Fast Paced, 3rd Person Fighter Based On The Hit Anime, Dragonball Z

Select your favorite character and fly, power up, transform, melee, and beam your enemies into pulp. Each character is given signature moves and abilities to compliment different style of play. Some are stronger in hand to hand combat, others are better with energy attacks. Play in three different game modes, deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the dragonballs. There is a learning curve so newbies beware. This is not your normal Half-life mod.

Sick of waiting for ESF:F to come out? Want to help speed up the process? Well here's how you can help.

Are you a skilled modeler or know someone else who is? Well contact us on our team speak server and ask how you can help.

We are mostly looking for people who can help work on our remaining characters. This will require creating a character model, building UV maps and fully texturing the model.

Please provide some samples of your work and be prepared to take on a project from start to finish. Please do not contact us if you are not prepared to follow through and complete your set task. It costs the development team time to train new artists on ESF's custom systems setting us further behind.

We are also looking for environment modelers (Mappers), Object modelers (To make the maps more lively) and Music Composers.

Team Speak can be downloaded from here

Our Team Speak server is you will normally find somebody from the team idling there. Raven and Mastasurf are the best people to contact.

We hope to hear from you soon.

This project is more doomed that I thought. I tried Xenoverse and it has many similarities with this, but more focused on what really matters in a DBZ game, you know, the fights.

You can compare it to Xenoverse, sure, but it's not the same game.

I think most people are actually over waiting and checking the website for updates. They don't want to be involved with the forum since their staff aren't very polite or welcoming towards new people, most are treated like crap by their so called "PR" staff. Just having one glance over the forum can tell you that. They're all so sour towards people.

"When it's ready" is so over used it probably makes people vomit now.

Their rank on MODDB is probably just the "when it's ready" support team's votes.

P.S They advertise v1.0 all over this site and still keep the 2008 "released" date on the main page. I think it should be changed.

Grega Mar 5 2015, 4:45pm replied:

Why would it be doomed for not being a fighter game? ESF is a shooter at its core, while Xenoverse is a fighter. There are fundamental differences and the most basic level.

Kyojinmaru Mar 6 2015, 10:18pm replied:

Yep, and the first fundamental difference is that DBZ is about fighting.

But anyways, I wasn't talking about the game's genre, I was talking about the whole concept of a DBZ game on PC.

Grega Mar 7 2015, 9:05am replied:

True, i wont deny that DBZ is about fights. But quite honestly, there hasnt been a good DBZ fighting game since Budokai 3. The Tenkaichi games and later are just to shallow to be good fighters. They are flashy, but thats reallyall they are.

tenkaichi 3 was easy to learn but was hard to master , it was shallow to those who didnt put in time to learn all the various combos , which were huge in numbers

Super DBZ came after Budokai 3.

Yeah, and you're talking to a guy that didn't liked any DBZ game since Budokai 3 also, so Xenoverse must have something good, don't you think?

BTW, I'm Kyojinmaru, wasn't aware that I wasn't logged.
