ESF Is a Fast Paced, 3rd Person Fighter Based On The Hit Anime, Dragonball Z

Select your favorite character and fly, power up, transform, melee, and beam your enemies into pulp. Each character is given signature moves and abilities to compliment different style of play. Some are stronger in hand to hand combat, others are better with energy attacks. Play in three different game modes, deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the dragonballs. There is a learning curve so newbies beware. This is not your normal Half-life mod.

16 comments by Deverz on Mar 2nd, 2014

Greetings,

Sick of waiting for ESF:F to come out? Want to help speed up the process? Well here's how you can help.

Are you a skilled modeler or know someone else who is? Well contact us on our team speak server and ask how you can help.

We are mostly looking for people who can help work on our remaining characters. This will require creating a character model, building UV maps and fully texturing the model.

Please provide some samples of your work and be prepared to take on a project from start to finish. Please do not contact us if you are not prepared to follow through and complete your set task. It costs the development team time to train new artists on ESF's custom systems setting us further behind.

We are also looking for environment modelers (Mappers), Object modelers (To make the maps more lively) and Music Composers.

Team Speak can be downloaded from here

Our Team Speak server is corona-networx.com you will normally find somebody from the team idling there. Raven and Mastasurf are the best people to contact.

We hope to hear from you soon.

Why not?

Surely you have a better reason than "Cause its an anime mod" ^^

It's just a bit different, that's all. Personally I'm going to give it a shot, though I'm not much of a fan in terms with it's gameplay.

It's gameplay is the best part about it. If you don't like anime, that's fine. It's gameplay is unique, even all these years later, it's still the only game with it's style of Combat.

I'm surprised honestly, it's Combat system could work so well for many games. It's like Devil May Cry, but with complete control of combat.

It has more free combat than Jedi Academy.

This mod is so detailed. Looks more like an orange box source engine game then a goldsource game.

I wonder where Goku tells this line "...will rise again and again. Enough! I won't allow you to do this anymore. Now, you are going to pay!" in the New Goku Animation video while ascending into a SSJ...

I didn't no you would be able to get THIS MUCH into a HL 1, Nice work. CAN'T WAIT!!! (Seriously, I can't wait.)

By the way. Since I'm a map maker

really only made one map called gm_giantdsi (Google it to see my work), and I was wondering, could I make standard HL 1 maps for this game, or will this game not accept it?

AND if it doesn't accept it, will it be possible for me to make HL 1 maps with that kind of water?

Sorry to ask you such a senseless question, but why are the characters smaller than normal Half-Life characters?

Simple really.

Map size. Make the character 4 times smaller and you suddenly end up with maps that are 4 times bigger XD
