ESF Is a Fast Paced, 3rd Person Fighter Based On The Hit Anime, Dragonball Z


Select your favorite character and fly, power up, transform, melee, and beam your enemies into pulp. Each character is given signature moves and abilities to compliment different style of play. Some are stronger in hand to hand combat, others are better with energy attacks. Play in three different game modes, deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the dragonballs. There is a learning curve so newbies beware. This is not your normal Half-life mod.

Greetings,

Sick of waiting for ESF:F to come out? Want to help speed up the process? Well here's how you can help.

Are you a skilled modeler or know someone else who is? Well contact us on our team speak server and ask how you can help.

We are mostly looking for people who can help work on our remaining characters. This will require creating a character model, building UV maps and fully texturing the model.

Please provide some samples of your work and be prepared to take on a project from start to finish. Please do not contact us if you are not prepared to follow through and complete your set task. It costs the development team time to train new artists on ESF's custom systems setting us further behind.

We are also looking for environment modelers (Mappers), Object modelers (To make the maps more lively) and Music Composers.

Our Team Speak server is corona-networx.com you will normally find somebody from the team idling there. Raven and Mastasurf are the best people to contact.

noticed 2 bugs.
When Goku cast one of his magical tricks , he had no emotion when he casted it, he faced side ways when casting the spell and not moving an inch. ( it was the default emotion , like when you view a ragdoll in sdk model viewer ).

Am not judging , I know it's a beta!.

But I have to say that I played it for hours and never got bored of it!!
After playing the mod I honestly can't wait but I guess I have to! , hehe.

The characters and the ability to fight bots with certain levels and ability wither they just stand still or attack (keeps crashing the game for some reason when am fighting a bot)
But still it was a nice touch!

, much more but I guess if you want to find out about , dload the beta and take a good look youself!!

Epic mod , take all the time you need fellas!!

Trouth be told. The open beta is nothing what the inteam looks or plays like.

The game is totally different since the last open beta. Both visual and gameplay.

But im glad you like it. Hope to see you in a server once its released or just plain old 1.2.3 XD

My one question though, is how the heck did you get the terrain in the maps to blend in so perfectly?

Is this clever mapping or an engine enhancement? If it's the former, please please tell me how I can achieve this myself as I'd die to have terrain like that in my mod!

Thats just a different way of mapping.

You first have to create the topdown texture. And then you map the terrain into that texture. Since the entire terrain is in fact 1 big texture sliced up into 16 pieces you can make the transitions soft by using the soft eraser in phoptoshop or similar programs.

I may do a video tutorial on this technique soon.

BTW mapping with this style requires the triangle vertex manipulation mapping technique.
