ESF is a fast paced, 3rd person fighter based on the hit anime, Dragonball Z. Select your favorite character and fly, power up, transform, melee, and beam your enemies into pulp. Each character is given signature moves and abilities to compliment different style of play. Some are stronger in hand to hand combat, others are better with energy attacks. Play in three different game modes, deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the dragonballs. There is a learning curve so newbies beware. This is not your normal Half-life mod.

Destructible Environment isn't the developers top priority or if it will even be implemented in the mod, I hope not because it would take them longer to release the mod.

Well, the more time you give them, the better it'll be. It wouldn't be Dragonball Z if you couldn't break things, and they probably have way more important aspects of DBZ that haven't been shot at yet. So I say they can take all the time they like, as long as the ultimate product is as awesome as I hope it'll be

let's not forget that this is the HL1 engine, so I think it's very difficult to implement in this mod, not impossible! but difficult, so i think that they will not even think that.
different would be the hl2 engine, but this is great anyway, no doubt!

No. The HL 2 engine sucks when you compare actual modability outside the engines guidelines. Yes Source is a nice and mod friendly engine for as long as you are just tinkering with what it gives you. But if you want more than that, then itll slap you with an iron glove and then blow you up.

For example. Our use of VBOs in the maps is impossible on source. Its not designed for it and so the whole map system is pretty much locked to a certain format and so on. You cant really expand Source unless you have access to the actual engine code, which you dont if you arnt working for Valve.

HL1 allows for such hacks, but HL2 doesnt. A better engine to use would be UT3. The UDK is quite versitile in all aspects of configurations. The downside is that you need to learn a special scripting language if you want to even use it ^^;

But all in all UT3 is currently the most modable engine you can get. While Source would be the easiest moddable.
