Two days ago, we showed off fan made videos to celebrate our great following of fans. And now, not long after our first of three release news updates, we're back with our second edition. To remind you, in order to celebrate the big release, we are doing a three part news update up until the big day. Check back often!
We figured it might be a good time to update some of our older media material, for our upcoming release. The media kit has been updated with the highly demanded Chiller font that is used for Punk titles, remakes of the class based screen shots, and a remade fan favorite media picture. To pay homage to our original media kit, all of the pictures have been retaken in our latest version in super fine quality, in the original poses. Also, while browsing through the media kit, have a gander at the newly reorganized Music Section where you can listen to all of Dystopia's in-game soundtrack, by the acclaimed musician bioxeed! Enjoy!
Fan made videos were a hit, so we have added some more to the media gallery for everyone to watch! Below, we show off two more great videos and we've uploaded an additional five videos to the media gallery. Be sure to head back over there and check them all out. But wait! We're not just showing fan made media in this update. More, after the jump!
While our first January update was centered around the creations by our fans, and the third update will be focused on our own 'media' creations, the second update is more like a hybrid of the two. In this update, we'll be showing off some screen shots of the maps Exodus and Broadcast.
Exodus has been a big hurdle for everyone to overcome in the last few months, receiving much needed testing and feedback attention, as well as the addition of some new art and models. Exodus is the latest map to be included in our Steamworks release, and we hope that everyone enjoys it! In the screen shots, our new animated power generator plays a vital role in deciding the fate of the defending Corporate Security team.
Also below are some pictures of the fan favorite map, Broadcast, and it's DNA Scanner room. Older versions of the DNA Scanner were scrapped for this much tidier version, which requires the user to press down on the hand print to inject DNA. Lights blink, noises churn, something rumbles in the background. The DNA Scanner is hard at work, allowing access to the monster broadcast server.
Later on in the week, we'll be hosting a Q&A Session to kick off the process of our release party. It will be hosted using our IRC Channel and beamed directly to your ears over Shoutcast. Look for more information regarding the Q&A on our third and final January release update that will be making a splash soon. You can expect that it will have a big surprise in store, and you won't be disappointed.
Very awesome post! Keep the fan videos coming, too, can't get enough of 'em.
Every time I read these dystopia countdown threads, this song plays in my head... Youtube.com
Go go dystopia go. I hope you sell you're game as a retail product. If you made Dystopia a retail product I would buy it without a second thought. It deserves far more money than half the crappy FPS's that are shoved out the door every year.
LOOOOOL ;p
No way.Retail games suck
tastic
Woot I'm on there!
