Dynamic Campaign Generator (DCG) is a mod for the game "Men of War" and some of its successors that randomly generates skirmish missions and lets you keep your surviving forces from one battle to another. Some people find this mod tricky to install the first time - please read the readme.txt carefully and ask for help (if you need it) on our forums here on this site, or at the game developer's site.
This is a full release of DCG v3.0 for the original Men of War game packaged as a single download - all packs are included in this release.

Cool beans, but shouldnt this mod page itself be under the MOW:AS Page?. Also the file has no Mirrors.
It started originally in Men Of War Original.
finally...it comes!
it says it cant find game.pak in the main folder of men of war AS?
got the same error as Schoon
i to
it is for the original men of war not AS
Dynamic Campaign Generator (DCG) is a mod for the games "Men of War" and "Men of War: Assault Squad" that what the summary said :(
And the description of the file said it's for the original MoW.
Damn. Now I have to decide whether I want the convenience of not having to download seven seperate files, or the convenience of AS's much better interface.
I uploaded 3 files - one for each version, but for some silly reason moddb has only authorized one so far - this one for vMoW. The ones for AS and Vietnam are there, but hidden until moddb authorizes them. There's nothing I can do - sorry guys. I assume they will be available soon, though.
Anyway, you can hop on over to the mirror site and get them right now if you don't mind hunting trough the list a bit:
Gamefront.com
cheers!
Gamefront.com HERES THE ONE FOR ASSAULT SQUAD!
uggghhhh... my resolution is too low to see the dynamic campaign mission.. i know its there as i can play it in lan but if i do that, you can't save and can't control any of your units....
Here's a fix for low resoultion problems with the menu in Assault Squad: Gamefront.com
thanks , work well now
does it works whit staem??
were you high when you wrote that???
so this comes with realism and all that extra schtuff??
Realism is still a separate download (AND it is for original Men of War ONLY). Everything else that we currently have available is included in the full pack, though.
Does not work for me, I'm playing Men of war Vietnam, I found the Men of war Vietnam Version, Downloaded it all, Deleted the MenofWarSE.xml File, Still it says " Error could not find map bonusmap.1 Even though I deleted the Special Edition Xml file... Any help?
Ah, I was tired when I wrote this.. Lol embarrasing, I thought you where to make a mods folder and put it in there.. Lol Well I think I'm gonna get it to work now. Good Morning Vietnam!
Since I purchased the special edition, I actually can't test how it works without it, so feedback will be helpful.
so will realism mod 2.5 work with this
Ok. So i have a problem. After i finish a mission in DCG, i save the game and exit the campaign menu. I do not know how to get to the deployment screen after this, there is a green glowing bar in the bottom right corner in my Campaign.exe and i think that has to do with it. Can somebody help? It's a nooby question because i have absolutely no experience with this kind of mod. Any help would be greatly appreciated =]
It sounds like your save game location is not configured correctly.
Take a look at the How To Install tutorial in the tutorials tab for detailed instructions.
Checked my save, Still does it. :/ It registers as the next day on the bottom left, but idk how to get into the Buy and Deployment screen again. Perhaps you can make a "How-to" video for the community and I? If not then i'm completely stumped :I
Let's go really basic: did you leave DCG running when you saved your game? It has to be running in the background or it won't detect the new save...
Yep, i did. I kept it on the main screen where it says: Start a new campaign, blah blah blah.
Can you paste the contents of your settings.xml file for us (in the xml folder of the mod)?
Why do I need to delete the old version of DCG 2.5?! :(
In case there are old files that conflict with the new ones. Why would you not want to?
because I've added some romanian units and I don't want to lose them.
Nevermind, got it to work, it was the saves.. I had a single letter that shouldn't of been there :P. Also another thing? Why so little resources, and low pop cap :c.
As had been said before - DCG is made to be an tough experience for the player, not for the AI. If you´d access to the same amount of units etc, as the AI, then it would be a piece of cake to always win over the AI.
If you find the mod to tough, you can always lower your MoW/MoW:AS settings to easy difficulty, and/or in the DCG settings, change use Easy Start to gain 50% extra points to buy stuff for (when you start a new unit).
Also, as soon as you´ve won a campaign, you will be rewarded with extra units points so that you can add more units to your original unit. It isnt uncommon to have five or six tanks and infantry after winning a couple of campaigns.
You can also capture enemy equipment and use them - you just need to divide up your men to "drive" it.
~Zeke.
There is also a bug we just discovered that causes you to get less points for winning a mission than you should. We will try to get a hotfix released soon, but as Zeke says, there are other things you can do in the meantime to help...
Alright thanks. I won a campaign, but i didn't know how to carry my troops over so i gave up :c
When you´ve won a campaign, all you do is to choose a new (or the same) enemy to fight against and if you like, also move the dates forward in time. Then press done and it all starts over again WITH your original troops and any new ones you buy.
~Zeke.
what do i do with the files exactly, its sends me to my winrar, what do i do from there? export to the MenofWar/Mod folder or what?
I used to play this when it first came out. I wonder how much its changed since then???
A lot of stuff has been changed. If you havent played it during the last year, you would be surprised by the amount of stuff that has been changed (in a positive way I hope).

does not run on win7-64bit
tried everything described in readme + even tried moving game to another disk using steammover
i'm using steam version
It do run on Win7-64bit, our teamleader/coder do run DCG on such a system.
Please read this tutorial ---> Moddb.com
~Zeke.
just removed (deleted) folder with a mod
then installed everything again
and it works!!!!
no my MOW broken... does not start saying:
Not SDL file! (esdlreader.cpp,17)
>>main
>file "@/profiles/111/settings.set"
what to do?
it says that even when starting MOW without CAMPAIGN.EXE started.
tried removing the game and downloading from steam again...
no result
Go to "documents/my games/men of war/profiles/your profile name" and delete the file named "settings.set". This is a common MoW-related error and not a DCG error. (Make a backup of the settings.set file first).
~Zeke.
thank you! this hepled
one more question:
my army size stopped at 96. have won several campaigns since...
is it ok or a bug ?
I guess that Jason1 (coder and team leader) added a max number of unit points that your unit can consist of. I usually start a new unit long before this happens since I lose interest when I´ve too many units in my unit (I prefer to fight as the underdog).
~Zeke.
I got an error with extracting maps. It says that file "blablabla" isn't found. :(
I did all right. I put the path to the game folder and mod folder (Save folder too)
