Gearbox simply polished it, is not their fault the weapon wheel was removed, or the game was crap, it was 3D Realms.

I'd say after Colonial Marines I blame Gearbox for not actually putting any effort into fixing the mistakes.

Is the guy holding the door closed a reference to the rebel in the early apartments of HL2 doing the same with the metrocops? Because he is kinda similar, clothing and everything.

Nope, DNF 2001 trailer (which this parody'd) came out before HL2 (2004).

Looks to me that the image used for the mod is based off of the model from HL2. Same pose, same face, same clothes. Judging by the face, it looks like Group02 Male_01 to me. Here's a pic to compare:

Yeah, that was what I was thinking too, just didn't have evidence to back it up.
If that is the case I'm not sure if this counts as stealing intellectual property, but it's going to be their problem in the end. We just give a heads up that it's noticeable.

Yes and no. I started with that model but then made its legs from scratch and changed his face by another modelĀ“s face, plus I made things like changing the clothes to what it was like in the 2001 trailer.

What a full team of developers, 9 years of development and thousands of dollars in investments couldn't do; two modders could do.

if i had the money and the team i would remake duke nukem forever and call it duke nukem reloaded and instead of aliens your fighting an evil dictatorship company who at the end of the game is revealed to be... GEARBOX SOFTWARE!!! with a secret achievement where there is a hidden rocket launcher with 1 shot and if you fire it at the gearbox sign on the building you get an achievement called something like F-U-GBOX
