Remember Dark Forces? It was a classic FPS from 1995. Duke Forces is a total conversion of Duke Nukem 3D (1996) with a Star Wars theme. It's cheesy, it's fun, and if you own a copy of Duke Nukem 3D, you should give it a try.
There's a simple backstory: the aliens who invaded Earth in Duke Nukem 3D actually come the Star Wars galaxy, and entered through an artificial wormhole. It's your job to stop them...again.
When it comes to gameplay, it's a classic, old-school FPS with a few modern twists. Force powers? Yeah, but you have to earn them.
Lightsabers? Hell, yeah. You get one of those early on, but it has limited charges. Guns are still Duke's favorite.
Story mode? Not really, but you can play just about any vanilla Duke Nukem 3D level using this mod.

Its great, but some monster for duke nukem, are not converted
That's intentional. This is explained if you look at the backstory. If and when story mode is released, then it will be more clear.
HAHAHAHAHHA Lol brilliant.
holy cheeses! you do care! (about DN3D that is :D )
tracking!
I have been modding DN3D for 10 years now :D
Sweet! Got any more mods? ;D
Not so long ago, I tried learning to map in Build. Nifty little tool, pretty easy once you get a hang of it, but I just couldn't figure out the triggers/ shaders (well you know, to script explosions, to link buttons to doors, etc.?)
Well, if you want to give it another try, I recommend making an account at duke4.net forums. Lots of experienced level builders there would can give you help and point you towards good documentation.
Even if you only wanted to build level geometry, that could come in handy for Duke 3D related projects.
Well, I did use the Build manual...
Still, thanks for the tip!
The Build manual sucks, there is a much better and easier use guide than that.
Can you run this with the Steam Megaton Edition?
Yes, it should work fine. EDuke32.exe should find your steam install and use the Duke 3D game data from it.
awesome dude, I'll have to check this out. DF is an old favorite. Its interesting to see you bring this to Eduke as theres an engine in the works for Daggerfall that also covers DF and Shadow Warrior. Its not at the level of Eduke, but its ability to cover Daggerfall features could be interesting.
I hope you like it. EDuke32 has still got lots of life left in it; in fact, a new and improved renderer is being built for it right now. How are your projects going these days? I still remember that Black Shadow game you were working on, which was pretty damned cool.
