Furry grass utilizing our revolutionary Steep
Parallax Mapping implementation.
Yes, if your card does not support it, it automatically switches to normal mapping.
Really nice
God bless parallax mapping!
and this doesn't guzzle up all your preformance?
Does this genuinely work in real time? If so, this is amazing stuff you have here! I'd like to see a tech-demo of it in action.
Yes, it works very well in real-time. I get ~50 fps with my GeForce 6600GT with 4x AA. This is a state of the art shader that uses the GPU (not the CPU) and that is why it is so fast. Shaders make typical things go faster. The only drawback is that you need the hardware. This technique is only allowed for DX9.0 cards.
how how just how. How does it go?
Can you switch between prallax and normal mapping?
Unfortunately there are still people with 9200 and 5 sereis cards...
Wow.
superb work, keep it up guys!
I got a radeon9800pro, is that DX9 compatable?
Unfortunately, no, it isn't.
fu......... I mean, damnit. I wanted to see this myself.
it looks great, also the 3rd person screens.
to Canuck, the 9800pro is a dx9 card you pucking *******.
It's not fully dx9 compatible. No SM 3.0 support.
It is fully DX9 compatible, no ATI video cards supported SM 3.0 until the X1xxx series anyways.
