DragonBall Source is a DBZ mod for Half-Life 2's Source Engine. This mod is now a Multiplayer Mod, and not SinglePlayer like previously intended. Each character will be assigned their own specific set of attacks, with power levels balances to create fair and balanced gameplay. The main multiplayer game is a team based game with two different sub-modes, namely "Capture the Dragonballs" and "King of the Hill". The "Saiyan Saga" (first release) has been released and is currently available via the Downloads page. The next major release will be the "Namek Saga" containing even more characters and maps. There will also be more features, which will mainly focus on transformations. The new character list hasn't been decided upon yet, but there should be between 15 and 20 extra characters to choose from.

Today we present to you for the first time, DBSource's PowerStruggle System, which allows you to fire beams of Ki at your enemy, push beam back at them, or join in existing powerstruggles to help team members defeat a powerful enemy.

Upon release you'll be able to fire a Kamehameha, Special Beam Cannon or whatever attack at someone, and if they respond quick enough, they can stop your beam and push it back towards you. All is not lost there though. You can push the "Blob" (as it seems to have named itself) back at the enemy by adding more power to your beam.

Surely the enemy will die then? Provided you have enough Ki in reserve, you can push back the blob until the enemy explodes, but don't think that he's not going to try pushing it back towards you. Ack! Your in danger now right? Running out of Ki and the blob gets dangerously close... your gonna die. Suddenly out of nowhere, a team mate comes to you side, locks onto the blob and helps push the blob back towards the enemy with their own beam.

This system should allow many to join in a power struggle, unless you want to just fly into the blob and disintergrate, it's up to you. During tests we've been able to even pick on people and get a 3vs1 power struggle going, adding to team play and shows it can even pay off to stick with your team mates and not go flying off into the distance to try and solo everyone.

All is still set for an April 14th release, in some areas we are even ahead of schedule, which allows us to make extra features such as this one, so you never know what'll be added that wasn't originally planned for the release.
