Ok, here's a minor update for you this week. Kill Icons.
So what are Kill Icons. Well the might be known to you as something else, I don't know the technical term for them, but they are basically the icon's that appear when you kill someone, be it with a shotgun or pistol or whatever. We obviously need our own versions of these and so I've been working on creating a new font set to display these icons. Yes, HL2 uses these as fonts and can be used in other programs such as Photoshop, Word, etc.
These are still work in progress, and they only need to be very simple, but here's a small sample...
As you can see, Gundy was kicking my ass, and the images show Kill Icons. Here's what they are representing, though you can probably guess.
Top Left = Destructo Disc
Top Right = Rapid Ki Blasts
Bottom Left = Hit Based Melee Kill
Bottom Right = Kick Based Melee Kill
These are still work in progress, so they will be improved upon before the release (still getting used to drawing in vectors), though your comments are more than welcome, just do it in the forum thread here
