DragonBall Source is a DBZ mod for Half-Life 2's Source Engine. This mod is now a Multiplayer Mod, and not SinglePlayer like previously intended. Each character will be assigned their own specific set of attacks, with power levels balances to create fair and balanced gameplay. The main multiplayer game is a team based game with two different sub-modes, namely "Capture the Dragonballs" and "King of the Hill". The "Saiyan Saga" (first release) has been released and is currently available via the Downloads page. The next major release will be the "Namek Saga" containing even more characters and maps. There will also be more features, which will mainly focus on transformations. The new character list hasn't been decided upon yet, but there should be between 15 and 20 extra characters to choose from.

Here's a random midweek update for you guys, and hopefully will have a few more random updates coming up before release. Todays update though focus's on the main gameplay option for DBSource, and thats... Capture the Dragonballs.
On maps, Dragonballs will have hundreds of spawn locations (or however many the mapper decides to make) to make the locations of the dragonballs random. Dragonballs will also spawn only one at a time (up to 7 in total), approx every 3mins. Maps will last 60mins, though all the dragonballs won't appear until half the maps time has passed.
This (we hope) will add an objective to gameplay, as capturing the dragonballs will help you raise your (and your teams) Power Level quicker. The aim here is to create three types of players...
1: Searcher - These players will tend to search for Dragonballs, be they hidden on the map, or being carried by the enemy.
2: Stealer - These players will attack the enemies capture point, stopping them from capturing all 7 balls
3: Defender - These players will hold back at their own capture point, killing Stealers, and even picking up dropped balls from those who dare close into their area.
Once all balls have been captured by a single team, the map will end and the winning team will gain bonus's for the next map, as all players will keep their stats over to the next map.

Although largely complete, these are still work in progress, so they will be improved upon before the release (team based textures will be added, etc), though your comments are more than welcome, just do it in the forum thread here
