Dragonball Adventures

Dragonball Adventures(DBA) is a Half-Life 2 conversion based on anime written by Akira Toriyama and corresponding movies. With selectable characters, play as heroes and villains alike.

Single Player

Single player gameplay follows Akira's Dragonball Z series, starting from "The Saiyan Saga". Single player is currently being developed with Multiplayer mode. Single player will be released in Sagas, each Dragonball Z saga being one big release. Considering that the Single player mode will take an enormous amount of time to develop, a Multiplayer mode will be released before a Single player mode.

Multiplayer

Dragonball Adventures will provide the classic Find the Dragonballs and Team and Free for All Deathmatch Multiplayer modes.

Yes that is very true :). Ah Im VERY sorry 2 bother again, but I guess I just get bad luck with computers. Ok, Steam loads now, but HL2, HL source, CSS and HL2 Deathmatch wont update. It's like Steam isn't connected to the internet, but I have a proper and working connection.

Any help???

Does the news (Main Page) page on the steam load? If yes, then did you try to installing the games from the games list first?

Since this is your new installation of steam, you will have to double click the greyed out games first.

Let me know how things pan out.

Ah man, I think im just going 2 give up. I mean, Steam won't load again. I donno whats up with it. Either it's win7 or Steam have some serious problems. Some ppl say that if you have AA enabled on your graphics card, that could be the problem so turn it off. Problem is that I can't turn it off, I can only set it down to 2x.

Steam is very confusing.

Steam is probably one of the most user friendly programs ever. If you are unable to even start it, the problem is probably due to your pc.

Try uninstalling it completely, then install it again, let it update, wait until it loads itself, this is important, no matter how long it takes let it finish updating and start itself. Go to your games tab, then either double click the games you want to download or right click and select install game. Again patience is the key here.

If even after the above steam fails to load, try steam support Support.steampowered.com . It is unlikely that forcing AA stops steam from functioning so thats not the case.

Try it and let me know.

P.S I use Win7 myself, so does the majority of people nowadays, so thats not the problem.

Ok I'll do so. I have done this a few times, uninstallig and re-installing. It gets very irritating to do this, because I have to uninstall HL2 and then install it all over again. It cant possibly be a problem with my pc. It is about a month old now.

My specs: win7 professional 32bit, Dual Core @2.7Ghz, 4Gig RAM, ATI HD 5770 1Gig GDDR5.

Could there be a problem with my system?

Thanks

Nope, your system is fine. Although one thing i want to ask is, how come you have to uninstall HL2, are you installing it from DVD?

Basically you have to DOWNLOAD it using steam. Removing steam would remove HL2 as well. I think you are doing it wrong somehow. Give me a detailed description of how you run steam.

Well, I have the retail 1. U know, when they first released HL2 and included in the pack was HL2, CSS, HL source and deathmatch. But then when I install from that CD, what exactly is it installing if u say we download the game off Steam? This is what I do typically:

Remove Steam + HL2 and pack.
Install Steam again and let it update. (I can go into Steam once it is finished).
Insert CD and run HL2 installer.
Installs HL2 and pack, creats desktop icons.
logging back into Steam. Look down at bottom of Steam to where it says DOWNLOADS: 1. Click on it and shows a list of the games installed off the CD and says DOWNLOAD PAUSED. Click resume download. I wait about 5mins and nothing happens.

Hope this helps.

Ah i see. Now answer me this, does HL2 show up in the games tab before installing it? If it does, just save yourself the trouble of installing the retail and click on it from the games tab. From there steam will download the complete updated game for you.

On the other hand, if HL2 doesn't show up in the games tab, you'll have click on "+ADD A GAME" near the bottom and activate a product on steam and enter the Serial Key.

Now if it says the key is already in use, the chances are your friend has already activated it on his account and the only way you'll be able to play HL2 along with this mod now is ask his permission and play on his account. Unless you OWN any other valve source game which MAY allow you to play this and many other mods that require only the Orange Box Source SDK. *phew*

Anyway, let me know how things are. Chao.

It does not appear in the games tab before installing it. You see, my friend used my account details, so I should be able to still play the game. As far as I know, my friend removed Steam and HL2 after a while, he got bored with it. 2 bad he never found out about mods hey? :D.

But seriously, this is getting ridiculous. I should of had no trouble with installing this game and updating it.

I just wonder why all this won't work. . .
