Dragonball Adventures
Dragonball Adventures(DBA) is a Half-Life 2 conversion based on anime written by Akira Toriyama and corresponding movies. With selectable characters, play as heroes and villains alike.
Single Player
Single player gameplay follows Akira's Dragonball Z series, starting from "The Saiyan Saga". Single player is currently being developed with Multiplayer mode. Single player will be released in Sagas, each Dragonball Z saga being one big release. Considering that the Single player mode will take an enormous amount of time to develop, a Multiplayer mode will be released before a Single player mode.
Multiplayer
Dragonball Adventures will provide the classic Find the Dragonballs and Team and Free for All Deathmatch Multiplayer modes.

Mr. .. How can people come to understand what you are doing when you don't even show people what you are doing. The game could look like Hello Kitty now for all they know.
Fair do's if this game is still progressing, but it's been going 10 years now, 6 years since we at DBS split off from you guys. I don't really care if you guys release info or not, your never going to be releasing this game any time soon, if ever.
You've got to be admit to yourselves that this has failed and then move on with your lives.
You say you don't have a full dev team of 20-30 people. Your kidding yourself if you think indy developers like ourselves have teams of that many. We had 4 people active working on DBS when it was released, 1 was a sound guy as well. We released a build in what, 1 year?
You also say you do this in your spare time... so did we... so does all indy game developers. I had a 9-5 job at the time. You either put the effort in or you don't, or your incapable of doing so. As i recall you never did work Fever as you were always playing City of Heroes, and thats why we left, we didn't wanna work for someone who wouldn't even work on his own game.
I don't mind answering that question. Simply put, those that have the fire to aid in a project like this will come to know what we're up to.
That said, as has been stated numerous times, this project has gone through very large changes... some of you may not even agree with where we've taken things, lol (don't hate us btw, it's all for the better... arguably much much better).
But without question, what we have here isn't a failure, but an evolution. What you think this is does not exist. I also can't fault you for not knowing because we haven't told you.
The project has still never been better and we hope to provide some measure of releif regarding this for everyone some time "before the world ends," lol.
Always cool seeing you around though Nagash. = )
P.S. I have no idea what Fever's responsibilities were on your project, but he has and will work on this one to the scope that he's required to. ex) Artists aren't expected or required to write game code. All will be revealed in time.
Hey Nagash,
Thanks for your comment. Long time no see!
In response though, I can only tell you things change, and things have definitely changed for the better. :)
i mean, you don't even show news like... "We now have a Facebook Group" or "Follow us on Twitter"
So what if your updates don't include ingame content or 3D Models, they don't even include updates that mean nothing but having an online presence. It's like you don't even have a game to talk about.
Hell, i checked out your forums just now and you told some guy that you haven't even decided if your going to release 1 saga at a time or all saga's at once... thats a decision you need to make before you make content of any kind so you have direction. It sounds like you haven't made anything at all and all this mod serves as is something to put on your CV
Hey Nagash,
Deciding how many sagas that are going to be released at once isn't really a decision that's necessarily going to change the direction of the project. The direction has been decided as has the game's design. Once we've completed a single saga, then we'll step back and look at the game at that point and decide if that's enough for one release or not. We could say we'll release, for example, 3 sagas for the first release, but we're shooting for a certain amount of gameplay time with release 1. So, deciding how many sagas will be in the first release would be purely theory.
Technically we could tell you all how much gameplay time we're shooting for with release 1, but that's also subject to change. We don't want to release any information until it's a done deal. :)

This seems a little stupid. I mean DBS, if they revived could get environmental artists etc. if they wanted because they can show examples of their work functioning well, eg their beta. You're just saying everything is okay and expecting people to not only be fine with that, but come to you for work.
What self respecting person goes to a mod which has, for the past 5 years just said "we're okay, honest!", that has less released than a dead-for-three-years mod that started at around the same time, and says "Sign me up"?
Sorry but if you want people to take an interest, after this many years, try releasing some content, I dont think ANYONE is impressed with what has come out of this when you can compare it with dbs and say "Well, at least they got to a beta... 3 years ago...."
I'm not ******** on your work but after five years people expect more than a few pictures put up a LONG time ago.
As Mr. said, it is indeed progressing. I'll be blunt with you. There are a lot of people who would see a game project in its unfinished state, get excited at its potential and wait for more news. Unfortunately, there's a much, much larger audience out there that, once they see any sort of media representing the project, they'll make their decision right there and then even if the material is labeled as alpha, beta, gamma, delta, whatever.
Rest assured the project is progressing and it is progressing DAILY. Remember that we're not what you would call a full team (full meaning the 20 or 30+ full time developers you'd expect from a studio). Also remember that we're all college students here, so we all do this in our spare time.

You're absolutely, 100% right. After this long, it's definitely a natural response and we all understand your feelings regarding this project. Your frustrations are not out-of-line.
If you've not read it (or forgotten it) on the forums, this project has gone through some very large changes... to the point that practically nothing (images, staff, statistics and information) on this site is accurate anymore.
We do plan to tell you guys what's been going on with this project, but until that time, this is why we told you we'll remind everyone when the time comes (as we do expect some of you to forget about us.. and others not even recognizing us).
As far as who would sign up to this, the answer is simply those who come to understand what we're doing and are interested in working with us to push this project farther forward.
We've got a while yet, but things are getting done... and that's all I can say. But the clues are out there. = )
Okay then.
FalconFury, you must have accidentally selected the "13 or under option" while signing up. I've activated your account.
