Draconian Empire is a total conversion mod for the game Homeworld 2, wich updates the graphics engine (shaders, effects, models,etc) and adds three new races with each their own new weapons, subsystems and sounds. It also features a brand new Singleplayer storyline telling the tale of humanity in their early days of space-travel, their encounter with the draconians and finally the birth of the Hiigaran people. A sequel to the Homeworld story, this mod's exciting new single-player campaign follows humanity from its early days of space-travel, where they eventually come in contact with the Draconians all the way to the finding of the second Hyperspace Core by the pre-Hiigaran people.

I'm focusing more on realism when it comes to the graphics in this mod i.e. a darker universe, more use of fx such as lensflares etc.
In terms of graphics and enviroment, I think O. R. B. was even better than Homeworld 2. But the gameplay ruined it ...
yeah ORB had a more NEXUS-ish feeling to it: darker and more focused at realism, while Homeworld is more story-driven.
With this mod im hoping to make a combo of those two: realism (as far as the engine will let me) and story.
Since I played O. R. B. and Homeworld, I wished that some time a game or mod would emerge which would actually merge these two awesome games!
Those background and planets in O. R. B. are so beautiful ... and the music was VERY fitting the game.
not to mention the nice ship-falling-into-pieces + exlosiongasm death sequences.
I'm working hard on a nice soundtrack too, i hope it'll be worthy 83
