From what I can see in this gif it uses it's sword once it runs out of ammo for it's blue fire weapon. And from the description it spawns several Phantasms when he dies, right?

Also I notice that it seems to heal when near those big blue anims it's fire attack causes.

That's right, but it spawns Phantasms only after an upgrade, or advancing a level. They aren't spawned from the start.

It also loses chunks of its armor when severely damaged

Description

"The dream turned into a nightmare"

Donned in an armor of metal plates, stands a giant humanoid with a burning sword. From the holes in its armor, purple fire sips away. It keeps slowly walking at the squad, gently shaking its sword.

As the soldiers keep firing at it, the chunks of armor fall off, but the fires grow bigger. The humanoid starts to move faster. The demonic smile on its face glows brighter.

Its not until it cuts a tank in half with its sword, that the humanoid falls and starts to burn away. But all efforts to kill it are for naught, as the entity finally breaks apart, giving birth to several ghostly figures.

The squad is driven into madness, and kill eachother.
