Closing words for Rev2.

Doom 3 Evolution Revision 2 is now FINISHED (as the title suggests). After I finished 2.2 I was thinking about going back in but I quickly realised there're no more bug complaints, no more requirements and since D3E has always been a community driven projec,t I just didn't feel any reason to continue to iterate existed. On the Sikkmod update. I just don't feel it is necessary. The changes to the graphical side of SikkMod 1.2 (ones I use) and the ammount of time i need to put into this in order to merge the two mods is simply not worth it from my point of view. I apologise to anyone thinking otherwise, but I simply don't have the time to deal with it.

That being said. The mod is not dead. Chances are at some point I will go back to it and release a new Revision. No promises at this point and it may be some time so for now.
THIS is the final version for this revision. I have no plans to iterate at this point.

I'd like to thank everyone for the support and feedback you gave me, this mod would be nothing without the people who play it and report back. In retrospective I should have recruited some play-testers and not done the testing on my own. Maybe in the next revision.

My work on the mod was a lot of fun, I hope you playing it was a lot of fun as well.

I've made some progress with one of the features I had planned, so I'm going to share it with you. It is a confusion ( in-game name will obviously be more complex :P ) implant skill-buff. It lasts 10 or 15 seconds and while on, zombies ignore you. Demons, however don't, and the effect terminates if you shoot any weapons except the fists, psychic powers and all implant skills but the plasma projectile one. I'm still working on the other one (nope not saying what it is until I'm 100% sure it's in :) ). On a sidenote, I hate programming UI's :D. On a note on the sidenote, I should have screens of the HUD in a few days.

ROE is out of the question for now. I have other projects in my schedule, including Thievious and another one I've wanted to do for a while.
Thank you for your offer and I will consider you if I need testing, but I plan on using this platform for my future projects and it seems all it's problems have been uncovered.

unfortunately i only did one (test) map for thievious and that was it as i had some real-life things to take care of. my other project at that point was Still Decay, which i worked on for a couple months but had to freeze because my rig was incapable of coping with the detail and scope of the mod - in other words i couldn't compile the maps. i had a few ideas about how to bypas that but in the end just decided to stop working on that one. that is pretty much what's happened so far. fortunately I'm back on track with revision 2. btw other projects I've worked on are the original Decay ( Fileplanet.com ) and the mammoth of an undertaking that ended up impossible to finish that was Wrathchild ( Doom3.filefront.com ) that version is pretty much broken, so you need v 1.02 ( link in "other files by..." ) to play through the mod.
