Doom 3 BFG Hi Def version 2.7 (for BFG edition of game) install and run RBDoom3bfg shortcutfrom your desktop. Higher poly models, tga textures, and effects including soft shadows (RBDoom3bfg). This version I re did all the textures not in the wolfen, or monoread texture packs. Every texture has been improved. Also a few engine changes to RBDoom3BFG like enabled soft shadows for intel drivers, updated to ffmpeg 2.9 dll files and support, latest from RBDoom3bfg repository as well. Screenshots click

Try renaming RBDoom3BFG.exe to Doom3BFG.exe and see if that works (backup 'Doom3BFG.exe' first).

Excuse me, i installed the mod but when i try to open the RBDOOMbfg3.exe the game just don´t start, can you help me please? the game dont show me any error or cmd windows, just dont start, the arrow of the mouse show the circle loading 3 seconds but nothing happens, help me please, this mod looks georgeus :(

Check that you installed into your Doom 3 BFG directory, make sure RBDoom3bfg.exe and Doom 3 BFG.exe are in the same folder.
Yes, There is in the same folder.
Aside from setting RBDoom3BFG.exe to windows 8 compatibility mode, and installing Hi Def into the wrong folder, I do not know what is causing that. You may want to reinstall.

Can this run with same specs as Doom 3 BFG originally requires? Or does it need a much more powerful PC? My laptop can handle Doom 3 at max settings very well, just asking,

Firefox said the download "Is all good fam". Excited that this is all working, I try to install. Installation looks fine until a third of the way in when it spits out "An unexpected error occurred while unpacking file(s). Error code: -2147467259". I've run it in compatibility mode for WIN8, and I checked to see if AVG Is doing anything weird. Still nothing. Yes, I'm installing in the D3BFG folder. I even tried just installing it to a new folder. That's when I gave up and tore the .exe apart and copied all the files to a folder in my desktop. It was only after that that I realized LITERALLY EVERY FILE IN THE .EXE HAS A CHECKSUM ERROR OR IS CORRUPT. Is this a host side or client error?
I had the same issue so I used Firefox with downthemall and had it check the checksum when it was done downloading and I used a mirror in Europe vs. the U.S.
This also had an effect of downloading at 5.5MB/s vs 400KB/s
it seems the U.S. mirrors are slow and the downloads are corrupt despite the usage level being at around 20%
