D.I.P.R.I.P. is a Half-Life 2 multiplayer total conversion. Gameplay is based on vehicle combat in various post-war environments. Vehicles use multiple weapon mounts which are activated by finding weapons scattered around the battle grounds. Planned game types are deathmatch, teamdeathmatch and capture the flag. There will also be a possibility to enable players to upgrade their vehicles' weapons and subsystems through the use of a 'money for damage' system.
Action takes place in varied post-war sceneries. Key places in the post-war world are areas rich in uncontaminated water and fueal. Most of the terrain has been left in a mechanically unchanged state. Abandoned city centers, hipermarkets, refineries, country food storages, old military bases and other such places are the scenery of raging battles.

In this update we have some fresh screenshots from the new team game mode - Uranium Run. All of the screenshots have been taken on the City map which is the biggest one we have created so far.
We have received a lot of complaints about vehicle handling after the last release and have been working hard to improve it. Today we are releasing an updated version of the vehicle physics scripts. They decrease the vehicle response delay, but are a purely server side solution. You can test them out on our official servers listed in this forum thread, check them out yourself or wait a day or two untill they propagate across all servers. These scripts are available in our downloads section.

So, being that a DEMO has been released, does that mean that the full version will be for a price off Steam? Or it just isn't completed yet and this demo is just to appease the rabid fans? I hope its gonna be free, because I am cheap. D:

I enjoyed playing this mod. It's got some great explosions and a lot of stuff breaks in the world adding to the carnage. I see 3 servers with people on it and that's no good. It needs a race mode like HLRally. Or maybe convert it into a type of MotorStorm type game. I find the DM fun but it get s a bit boring after awhile. Hope they keep updating it.
agreed. the reg DM gets old. racing would be great. but then i wonder, the only guy to win would usualy the guys with the lowest ping and/or chooses the chaos126p.

I love how you used the psychix (bad spelling I know) to get trhough walls and stuff :)
but like a few have mentioned before, the handling is a bit off, it feels like there is a central point at the back of the car, if you would move this point a bit more to the middle, It might help

Excellent! Ah very nice game, a little hard to steer at first, but with a good ping and practice, can't wait to see more vehicles and weapons. Time to go back to Twisted Metal Black!
I think the handling feels off due to the response time. Seems like a fun mod, but it's hard to get passed this annoyance.
Looking forward to getting the hang of it and enjoying this otherwise well polished release.
