DIPRIP Launch Trailer HD
Mar 11, 2008 Trailers 3 commentsThis is the D.I.P.R.I.P. Demo launch trailer in 720p.
D.I.P.R.I.P. is a Half-Life 2 multiplayer total conversion. Gameplay is based on vehicle combat in various post-war environments. Vehicles use multiple weapon mounts which are activated by finding weapons scattered around the battle grounds. Planned game types are deathmatch, teamdeathmatch and capture the flag. There will also be a possibility to enable players to upgrade their vehicles' weapons and subsystems through the use of a 'money for damage' system.
Action takes place in varied post-war sceneries. Key places in the post-war world are areas rich in uncontaminated water and fueal. Most of the terrain has been left in a mechanically unchanged state. Abandoned city centers, hipermarkets, refineries, country food storages, old military bases and other such places are the scenery of raging battles.

2008 has passed as a year full of success for D.I.P.R.I.P. Our first demo release in March has put us on the modding scene and gathered a lot of positive feedback followed by numerous press reviews and interviews. The innovation and quality delivered by D.I.P.R.I.P. has been recognized by Valve and we were able to Warm Up the modding scene once again in October by delivering D.I.P.R.I.P. Warm Up directly through Steam.
Now we are proud and excited to announce that we have been chosen as the Mod of The Year by Steamfriends.com
"What at first looked to be a simple take on the classic 'Twisted Metal' quickly gathered speed and became a lot more than a simple re-make. DIPRIP sees players driving huge metal beats around beautifully created landscapes, fending off fellow drivers with bombs, rockets and miniguns while carrying nuclear bombs into the enemy base to create just that little bit more destruction. Featuring its own achievements and packing completely destructable scenery and explosive action, DIPRIP is a hell of a lot of fun and more than deserves our Mod of the Year award..."
As 2008 has come to an end the Moddb.com's Mod of the year Awards nominations voting has now begun.
Remember to vote for D.I.P.R.I.P. and wish us good luck in the voting.

will the batman car ever be in this
Please, make popular this mod! it's too much funny!
And I thing that will receive more players if its name was TWISTED METAL, beacuse is a game like that, and I like it!
Copyright, buddy... But the gameplay is very similar, and that's all that matters. And there will be more player (Including me), for the next release.
The mod is really fun but there is almost never someone playing
Heh, yeah, this mod is great. But, I for one are waiting for the analog controller support implementation (And the teamwork gamemodes. Good teamwork really adds lifelength to a game/mod), I just couldn't get comfortable with the keyboard controls. The server side fix would supposedly make it feel smoother, but heh, for me I don't think it'll be enough (Haven't treid though, because no other player has been online), I rather just use my PS2 controller.
Well, I am really looking forward to the next release. A updated estimated time of arrival would be appreciated?
We are closing the current release so that we can enter a closed testing phase with more testers. An update should be arriving in a few weeks.
So then... How are things going? And update likely to appear soon? I desperately need that analog controller support to resume playing this mod. It's badass and all, but I just can't play it with keyboard/mouse, it's clunky (Alleviated slightly by the server vehicle handling script, I assume) and uncomfortable. And, new teambased gamemodes... Damnit, I MUST HAVE THAT! I CRAVE it! :D
But, yeah, do take your time to make it as good as possible, just, please, do give us some sign of progress.
The next big update will be coming in about a month.
Sounds good. ;D
its all on where we are. i get pings ~150 too, its just that theyre arent hundreds of servers, yet. dont worry about it, well all eventually get to have some fun.
