D.I.P.R.I.P. is a Half-Life 2 multiplayer total conversion. Gameplay is based on vehicle combat in various post-war environments. Vehicles use multiple weapon mounts which are activated by finding weapons scattered around the battle grounds. Planned game types are deathmatch, teamdeathmatch and capture the flag. There will also be a possibility to enable players to upgrade their vehicles' weapons and subsystems through the use of a 'money for damage' system.
Action takes place in varied post-war sceneries. Key places in the post-war world are areas rich in uncontaminated water and fueal. Most of the terrain has been left in a mechanically unchanged state. Abandoned city centers, hipermarkets, refineries, country food storages, old military bases and other such places are the scenery of raging battles.

While the basic weapons are being equipped with new fancy visual effects we have some new in-game screenshots to share. We have a new textured "Hedgehog" vehicle in action so stop by and take a better look. Don't forget to post your comments on our forums.

Yes it's dead now shush. Thats why they have no website, have not updated in 9 months, and suddenly dropped off the face of the earth.
I smell death
Its not unbelievable at all! Functionality of these vehicles closely resembles the code architecture of the other vehicles in the Half Life series. As for the total conversion, the vehicle and prop entities are the only introduced aspects.
Another good looking mod dead?
I really, really hope we get to play this mod soon. Frankly it's unbelievable what you guys have done with the Source engine, and judging by the videos I've been seeing for months now, the game is already semi-playable. Please let us at it as soon as possible :)

We are planning to have more combat modes as You can read on our web page in the about section, but at the moment we are working to get the simple deathmatch mode working as we want it.
There will de different types of weapons and some can be precisely aimed and some can't (e.g. You could shoot behind yourself with the currently implemented mortar, but the miniguns are firmly attached and can not aim backwards). Also some weapons can be aimed only to some extent so now we can race side by side shooting rockets at each other like in a sea battle with cannons ;)

As everyone can see we are not too PR active but that is only because we prefer to focus on making the Mod. PR is really a full time job but we always enjoy to chat with anyone who is interested in our Mod so keep the questions and ideas coming and we will try to reply as best as we can.
