Digital Nightmare - Music Overhaul
Traversing the post-apocalyptic Mojave will feel desolate and unforgiving, especially at night.
Exploring dark underground interiors will put you on edge as the music shifts dramatically depending on your threat level.
Battles will seem more threatening and dangerous, you are fighting for survival.
Public settlements where the last bastions of civilization are holed up will emit an atmosphere of bleak existence.
Over 5 hours of new material specially composed to alter the atmosphere of
the game to a darker tone. The pack consists of creepy ambient
soundscapes for exploration, dark tribal rhythms for public areas and
heavy industrial tracks for battles and high threat encounters
All the tracks have been recorded by myself specially for this personal project.
I created this soundtrack with very hard gameplay in mind. I play Project
Nevada on one of the hardest settings, this soundtrack is for fighting
for survival and hanging on to the edges of the mortal realm. I also
highly recommend installing mods that make nights and interiors darker,
what's lurking in the shadows?
Included in the package at this moment :
28 Dark ambient tracks for exploration (quite fallout inspired).
21 Dungeon tracks composed for 3 different threat levels (and some extra alternates).
18 Heavy Industrial battle tracks (9 good, 9 evil) each with alternate percussion only versions and some alternates.
13 Public settlement tracks, with dark tribal rhythms (very fallout 1 and 2 inspired).
12 Militaristic base themes (4 sets with 3 different intensity levels).
134 Incidental themes that play in the Mohave wasteland, in between exploration tracks (replaces violin music etc)
VERSION 1.0 RELEASE
Simply install files into your Fallout data folder and activate the esp!
No overwrite required. To uninstall, delete the Digital Nightmare folder in Music and 'DNmus' folder in Sound. Done!
For A Tale of Two Wasteland users, there is an optional TTW esp to activate.This greatly increases music varietey in the Capital Wasteland, as the vanilla soundtrack has only 7 explore themes, 5 dungeon themes and 4 base themes and 5 public themes.This will also activate dynamic music for interior cells - which is very fun!
This mod may need proper testing to ensure everything works like it should. If you encounter music behaving unusually please let me know so I can fix it.
I'll need to know the location you were at, what you were doing and what time of day it was (in game!)
