Hello,I am a team member from the mod paintball source,I made a another moddb account to hide my identity. To be honest with you paintball source is not as far as digital paintball,I have spoken with some dpb members and a few others and I know for a fact this mod is still alive and kicking. Digital paintball has a very professional team unlike any other I have seen, I can guarantee you that digital paintball mark 2 will come out before paintball source. ( just because digital paintball doesnt have much media on there moddb profile doesnt mean that they are dead ) and the only reason why paintball source is having trouble is because of the imatureity of the team and the lack of leadership,I can say myself I have failed to do my part. In my opinion digital paintball is the standard for hl paintball mods.

Look, I don't want to err... shoot down your hopes and dreams, but PB:S has got way more work done than you guys. Frankly, this mod looks dead.

BTW Ter3, paintball's a great game:

-teammates always deplete their gas tanks

-The field fee includes free refills on air all night

-teammates always deplete their balls(dont get me wrong)

-That happens in any shooting game/simulation...even on the computer, and a box of 2000 paintballs should last you a few hours. If your shooting more than that, you should get a new gun, because obviously you can't hit crap with the one you have.

-someone has to "tune" their markers, aka opening up and lose all the screws and internals all over the 0,5 metres tall grass

-You dont dissasemble your marker in the grass- if you did, your a friggin idiot. And no, the internals do not consist of tiny screw and crap, they go as follows:
Strip pin, bolt, a small cylinder under the bolt, a rubber ring, a spring, a pin, and the backpeice. Hmm..that adds up to a shocking 7 peices! (Which arent all that small) And the grass is cut constantly, its not that long.

-they tend to use a long time

-Actually, my friend lost a bunch of peices form his expansion chamber (do you even know what that is?) when dissasembling it, and found them a day later. And, hes an idiot for taking apart his expansion chamber in the first place.

-sometimes, it hurts too much

-Actually, it doesn't hurt that much, its like a little sting, and after the adrenaline hits your bloodstream, you don't even feel that much.

-sometimes, a teammate gets lame and freeze their balls until it gets hard and cold.. and round.. and ... shiny(dont get me wrong again)

-When you freeze paintballs, the paint expands and usually ruptures the paintballs. The only way to be sure that none of them rupture when you freeze them is to like dip tem in liquid nitrogen, which isn't exactly cheap, or easy to find.

-these balls can actually make a crack in your skull(dont get me wrong f**khead)

-Maybey if the guy has is PSI set to like 2500, and dipped them in the liquid nitrogen. Also you can full head mask that covers your entire skull.

-masks fogs out

-Yeah, this is the only one you have right. But, this mostly only happens at nighttime or on a very humid day. There are lenses also made of special polymers (I'll admit, are a little expensive) that rarley ever fog up. Also breething out of your nose, and (as I did) installing a small computer fan in your mask and running it on a few batteries (or you can buy the specially designed fans, but they're basically the same thing) keep it from fogging up.

-someone may have to remove the mask during play to get air, and... maybe they get balls(dont get me wrong)

-I'm trying to understand what your saying...you mean gets shot in the face? Yeah, I don't know if you have ever played paintball, but out on the feild, if you even go to scratch your nose, the refs call you off for the rest of the day.

Fact is, I don't think you've ever really played paintball. And I play paintball on the computer because the feilds around here are only open on weekends, and sometimes I just don't feel like going out there. Sorry for the long post, but I'm a paintball fanatic |,,,| ^.^ |,,,| And besides...it's great exersize and fun...at the same time! :O

Its the same dpb team... Unless you are referring to the Quake mod...

Look, we've been doing this for five years. We've seen tens of hundreds of other paintball mods come and go. Lets look at the history: Past 5 years paintball mod releases: 1. DPB.
