Today, we release the first alpha of Digital Paintball: Source.

We've been working on this game for nearly half of our lives. Recently, it has gotten pretty stagnated, and every day hurts sitting on this much work. RAP4 (www.rap4.com) has been instrumental in keeping the project going, and we wanted to get out what we had to see if we can't get some renewed interest in the project.

Loved it. Currently the only major problems I have with it is the high lag after about 6 players join, absence of crosshair like the hl1 version (I think sighting down the barrel would be tight on this), and the paintballs are really hard to see (occasionally see streaks). I think the multi-field concept will work well if you fix the netcode bugs.

Overall, I'd say anyone who is a fan of the original or looking for a good hl2 mod would have fun with this and should at least give it a try. Even if it is an alpha.

Yes! I've been waiting for this...A mod with some form of roleplaying almost...Really good idea to have an outdoor and fighting arena type mod.
