Staring at the tiled ceiling, wondering why you had to pull the trigger that night. Rolling out of bed and looking around the room at the small artifacts you have left from once called home...

Dev Maps. They are all so simple and are extremely clean unlike maps which use original textures which already have the dirty look to them as they have the scratches, spills, cracks and things that make them all look not as plane as a simple flat texture. Decals are a great addition when it comes to these sorts of situations which is why in this case I've decided to start making extra decals as the ones valve reated weren't quite the fit for measuring materials. As the dev textures are plane as it is, so the custom decals don't need to be highly detailed but still keep their realism feeling to them which is why for most of the overlays we've gone with the dark and smooth cartoon look.

One thing I've noticed with a lot of mods is that they change EVERYTHING in a mod; but what they seem to forget is that one of the most visual things that happens a lot when encountering enemies, is that blood splatters are never changed. What i find is that changing the blood decals changes quite a lot. I decided to go with a smooth and rounded blood very much like what they did for Fear. Having bright red blood brightens up and makes them more appealing and fresh. Although not all of it will be the same colour, others will be thicker and brighter than the others which will show the blood came from different parts of the body as well as cells.

interesting effect, definitly different to the usual. nice work.
Thanks :)
I agree, it looks cool and fits in. Just make sure you make it shiny ^^ .
For HL2, it would look really nice. Does the blood disperse in a physically correct way?
As an it spreads and hitting the floor? No, that would require an engine much greater than the source engine without stretching the texture itself.
Love it.
Thank you :)
Nice
Cheers aj
Nice blood decals. Whoever did them has talent!
PS: I love how all of the skeleton guy's flesh melted off, leaving a fresh pool of blood. :D
Haha thanks, makes it a bit more interesting to look at ;)
