Hello! We're happy to announce that the Revision Demo 1.3 is available for download. It took us a little longer to release than we thought, but trust us that it was worth the wait. We hope the new Hell's Kitchen and other improvements will calm down your hunger for a while as this will be the last demo release.
If you didn't like the 1.2 version of New York levels, consider trying again with this version as we've tried our best to keep it as much original style as possible. Change log can be found from the Help folder after the installation have been succesfully completed. Also, prepare to have at least 400mb of free space for Demo 1.3. Readme is included with the package aswell. Please read it carefully before launching the installer.
Here's a few shots from the enhanced areas:
*Added Mission 09 levels.
*A lot improved Hell's Kitchen and NSFHQ.
*A door bug in the security office near the entrance in all Unatco HQ maps.
*No ATM and Public Access Terminal outside the kitchen area in 01_NYC_UNATCOHQ.
*Conversation with Jaime through the wall in 01_NYC_UNATCOHQ (happens if you stand near a wall so that he is on the other side).
*In the Free Clinic when you walk in the room with the beds with all the dead bodies as soon as you walk in you see several black lines along the floor.
*Walton Simons in 03_NYC_UNATCOHQ.
*The NanoKey in Jaimes office has no key decription in 04_NYC_UNATCOHQ.
*Manderley fears gun fire, and might block the door in some cases.
*An invisible ladder in the Airfield map.
*A door bug in the Brooklyn bridge station map, ladies room.
*In the Lucky Money if you shoot Max Chen he uses no weapons.
*The hooker on top of the pool table is missing in the Luckey Money, so the Russian sailors won't talk.
*In the MJ12 lab the bum seems to run into the walls when he is freed and the commando does not kill him. And the doctor does not say anything until the bum is past the second blast doors.
*A big "carpet" appears in the Canal level in Hong Kong near the big boat.
*The teleporter between Market and the Canal level in the tunnel was missing gone.
*The security bots in the market level do not attack you if you engage the HK Millitia.
*Augmentation cannisters in Smuglers have been removed.
*Big black bsp-errors near the news stand in the Compound level.
*You can walk through some containers near one of the gates in the Airfield-map.
*The cameras near the statue in Liberty Island wasn't set up correctly.
*Cameras in Unatco HQ and Libery island respond to you being hostile after you've broken out of Unatco's MJ12 lab.
*Some AI/alliance issues in your last visit to Hell's Kitchen have been resolved.
+ Some other smaller bugs like fire extinguishers that are on the floor instead of hanging on the wall.
Alright, guess that's all. We wish you many happy hours in Demo 1.3. If you get stuck or encounter bugs, please let us know at our forum, so that we can fix the problems for future version.
Since 2002 we have explored, played and enjoyed mods of all shapes and sizes just like Deus Ex: Revision. We love games like Deus Ex that have opened themselves up to modding. Because of communities like Workshop, Nexus, Curse, RTSL, GameBanana and Mod DB, more games support modding today than ever before.
Let's celebrate modding
As mods play a bigger role in the future of gaming, we believe it is important to recognize the effort the teams behind the work put in, giving us countless hours of enjoyment while asking nothing in return. We have the power to change our games and that needs to be celebrated to ensure it remains a big part of PC gaming's future.
It all started
In 2015, when the paid modding dispute left many gamers and modders worried about the direction the industry is headed. Things have since settled down, but we believe it is important to continue this small tradition to show we are not alone in our love for mods, and the open platforms that embrace them.
Mod Appreciation Week
Nothing is more motivating than knowing something you've built is being enjoyed by others. So this week if there is a mod you love on Mod DB (or anywhere else), make the effort to shout out to them, mention and link their mod in a tweet, blog, forum or facebook post with the hashtag #modlove2016 (or click the icons above for a pre-built post).
