Deus Ex: Reborn is a Unreal Tournament 2004 modification aimed at giving the classic Deus Ex technological tune-up. The goal is to utilize the capabilities of UE2 to provide the player with a higher resolution Deus Ex experience while keeping the gameplay intact. Hopefully this will result in a visually and physically more immersive game that DX fans can enjoy.

I have packaged the mod so that you may try it out, it's nothing spectacular. I honestly thought I would be farther along since 2 weeks ago, but even though an assload of code was written, there was very little visible effect. In any case, hopefully this will be at least proof that work is being done :)
For the mod to work you must copy the DX textures to the mod's textures folder.
"e" is your frob key, "i" loads the inventory screen.
Also if you would like to try out another map type "open decotest" in the console without the quotes.

bad news: sorry about my previous promise for a trailer. I've realised that I just don't have the time now. I began school again last week and I have confirmed that I won't be able to work on DXR again until the semester is over. So look for more updates around the December - January area.
HDTP is for this too
forget about HDTP i dont have the original game and finding it now for download ill take for ever, i juss hope to get to play it on UT 2004 because i have that game and i recon it will still be better than HDTP please finish it asap. thanks :)
I just realized something......this is the Deus Ex equivelent of Half-Life: Source. I am not impiling that is a bad idea but, well.........thank god for HDTP

YAY!!!!! say, when are you hoping to finish this by? im just wondering, because HDTP is finishing up their first release, and with DX:R deus ex will be the greatest game again :D i think someone said by september or summat, but.....i geuss that was just an exagerated rumor. good luck anyhu!!! looking forward to it!!!
I think next week im going to release another trailer or the latest version of the mod depending on how much i get done.

I really dont think its anybody's place to DEMAND them to do work for them when their not giving anything(besides support) in return, i mean if they want to take a break for awhile there is nothing wrong with that. unless they go complety overboard of course.
