Deus Ex: Reborn is a Unreal Tournament 2004 modification aimed at giving the classic Deus Ex technological tune-up. The goal is to utilize the capabilities of UE2 to provide the player with a higher resolution Deus Ex experience while keeping the gameplay intact. Hopefully this will result in a visually and physically more immersive game that DX fans can enjoy.

Thanks to blueneptune's work on developing a better shadow system for UT2004, DX fans can now enjoy a much more immersive look and feel. The shadows are crisp, and fully dynamic.
We also have new forums to make it easier for followers of the mod to post their thoughts.

bugmenot321, maybe you should take into consideration the fact that these MODS are done for free in people's free time. Comparing the mod community to a full-blown game development company is a little harsh, especially if you take into account the fact that no money is passed from gamer to mod-creator.
Why don't you try making a mod before you continue bitching about how long its taking to get DX:R, NV, and HDTP out the door and to the masses.
So i need UT2004 and then install this mod over it to have access to the content, or does it mod the DX content into the UE2 engine? I have both games, just wondeirng how ittl intergrate with DX:NV and the HDTP

I started doing a DX map using Unreal 2004 engine - on my own! To bad I'm so lazy in finishing it.
If only I'd had a good weapon scripting tutorial, I would finish my gun project for DXR.
Maybe a new DX is a BAD idea.

add that do Reborn and you'll get what you want. We've all been working very hard on Deus Ex - even if it is seperate projects. I just figured I should post this so that people don't mistake that we are all working on different elements of Deus Ex.
First of all I want to say I AM SORRY! Sorry for saying bad things about DXR and you "myles".

You have to understand I saw the videos and I got scared I thought they would destroy the name of DX.
I am working on a weapon mod for DXR and I thought they would leave the graphics like in the old UT plus there karma freaked me out.
I hope this mod comes to a good look in the end.

The people from this project should have remapped the hole game with grater detail, remodeled the decorations weapons characters and so on!
I love Deus Ex and this guys are destroying it. The graphic is bad and the karma is worse.
