New Vision - Version 1.000001 Hotfix
Aug 8, 2011 Patch 7 commentsDeus Ex: New Vision hotfix, version 1.000001. Follow the included instructions to install.
Check you followed all the instructions and have the latest version of DirectX 10 (if you're trying to use the Direct3D 10 renderer) and the Microsoft C++ 2010 package. Remember that to use DirectX 10, you need a compatible graphics card and operating system - if you're unsure, just use OpenGL!
Make sure DeusEx is patched to v1.112fm. If you have the Steam or Game of the Year edition then you're already good to go. If in doubt, load Deus Ex and check the main menu - it will say your version at the bottom right.
If you still need help, post in the comments giving us as much information as you can (operating system, graphics card, what renderer you're using).
We cannot help you without this information!
Deus Ex : New Vision includes Kentie's Direct3D 10 Render and Chis Dohnal's OpenGL renderer. We also recommend using Kentie's Deus Ex Launcher. If you're having problems, consider checking for updates.
For the best experience we recommend HDTP. Remember to install HDTP after New Vision so the modifications to DeusEx.ini carry over.

It's been 4 years in the making, but Deus Ex : New Vision is finally seeing the light of day in it's full form. With around 75% of the world textures remastered at high definition, the project is finally complete - and is available to download right now!

wow, this is the first time i feel necessity to upgrade to windows 7 because windows xp does not support directx 10 :[
I don't get it. I followed your guide (install.txt and video, just to be sure) to the letter, but I can't get it to work. Game runs fine using the new launcher and default Direct3D renderer but I see no visual improvement. Under OpenGL it starts but I get only a black screen while the music plays. Direct3D 10 just crashes with this error:

Durr, scratch that. Turns out this game was still unpatched. Patched it and now it works. :)
Alright, I'm on Windows 7 64-bit, using the DirectX 10 renderer included in the mod, and my card is an ATI 5770. The problem I have is that during cutscenes, conversations, or calls from Jacobson the text will continue before the audio has time to finish, and the audio will continue on the next line instead of finishing the sentence
Try using Kenties Deus Ex Launcher. That fixes alot of issues on modern computers.
Thanks, that worked out. However, The launcher always resets to the same FOC (16:9), I do use 1600x900 as much resilution, but the problem with this FOV is that when holding large objects like a body or the GEP gun it shows the space at the righ side, the part where there's no texture. It's not the biggesst problem, but it's rather annoying. Any idea on how to fix it?
Still need a fix for this, it's pretty annoying as there's pretty much a big hole on the right side of the GEP gun or when I'm holding a body
I don't think this can be fixed on the user level. Even so the engine supports a higher FOV, the game was never intended to use it, since there wasn't any need at the time of its creation.
i say switch to 32 bit solves all your problems since deusex wasnt made for 64 bit i hear alot of people having problems with deusex on 64 bit pc's and its better to switch to 32 bit because 99% of the games run perfectly on a 32 bit pc
