New Vision - Version 1.000001 Hotfix
Aug 8, 2011 Patch 7 commentsDeus Ex: New Vision hotfix, version 1.000001. Follow the included instructions to install.
Check you followed all the instructions and have the latest version of DirectX 10 (if you're trying to use the Direct3D 10 renderer) and the Microsoft C++ 2010 package. Remember that to use DirectX 10, you need a compatible graphics card and operating system - if you're unsure, just use OpenGL!
Make sure DeusEx is patched to v1.112fm. If you have the Steam or Game of the Year edition then you're already good to go. If in doubt, load Deus Ex and check the main menu - it will say your version at the bottom right.
If you still need help, post in the comments giving us as much information as you can (operating system, graphics card, what renderer you're using).
We cannot help you without this information!
Deus Ex : New Vision includes Kentie's Direct3D 10 Render and Chis Dohnal's OpenGL renderer. We also recommend using Kentie's Deus Ex Launcher. If you're having problems, consider checking for updates.
For the best experience we recommend HDTP. Remember to install HDTP after New Vision so the modifications to DeusEx.ini carry over.

It's been 4 years in the making, but Deus Ex : New Vision is finally seeing the light of day in it's full form. With around 75% of the world textures remastered at high definition, the project is finally complete - and is available to download right now!

Awsome mod, playing the game yet again with it and HDTP.
I have a bug to report though:
In the 747 in Lebedevs room the texture for the TV next to lebedev is missing, the TV sound is there but instead of the texture it's a blank one (like in UED when you haven't applied a texture to a solid yet)
Thats it :)
Yes, two TV textures from CoreTexMisc (the largest package) were misnamed by me. I'll get around to fixing it at some point :)
Please do it, DaveW! It's a real shame to miss out on them because of silly typos! :)
VOTE! This took so much hard work and dedication into one of the best PC Games of all time!
Vote New Vision for Mod of the year!
Come on guys a mod this good deserves the votes
I'm trying to play NV with the new deusex.exe, but when i'm trying to launch the game from "play" it keeps saying "Init: Initializing Direct3D failed."
I've installed Kentie's DX10 renderer. I also have a very adequate graphics card (Geforce GTX 560) and everything should be fine.
Any idea on how can I get this work?
Wait, I can use the OpenGL renderer without problems I guess. Np.
Thank you Dave, you've really made Deus Ex beautiful.
Well, turns out it was the drivers :P
I wiped the old ones and installed the latest drivers, seems to have fixed this particular issue.
I'm just hoping the performance problems won't come back on my other games.
