Deus Ex was a successful and very customizable game. But what about the fact everyone had the same exact type of pistol, assault rifle, shotgun, etc. What about the fact that some ammo types were completely under powered compared to their real life counter parts. Now you can enjoy Deus Ex with a more modern arsenal of weapons, including revamped and updated vanilla weapons. Enhanced AI, some maps are revamped, new weapons (More assault rifles, pistols, snipers, and explosives than you can shake a stick at.) , new ammo types (includes unique ammo types such as flame rounds, Armor Piercing and high yield explosive rockets).
Getting Started- Make a copy of your Deus Ex folder, though it may not be ideal. You will be dragging the mod files and replacing everything that conflicts, Make a back up of your Map and System folder for this reason.
I would strongly suggest the newest Shifter, New Vision, HDTP, and Updated Deus Ex Renderer/Textures all avaliable on Mod DB. The Enhanced pack fixes the scope size.

Finally I would like to thank the offtopicproductions and alpha communities for all the help they have given me. I wanted to thank Naveos, Jonas, Miguel and DDL for the help so far, answering my stupid questions, etc.
Thanks to the authors of the Cassandra Project, Thanks to Clyzm for his model work @ Alpha Labs, and further more I want to thank the HDTP/TNM staff for their enhanced models/code. TNM Pistol/Rifle Upgrades are functional.
You can expect new weapons (old weapons are touched up to support fast paced combat.), new ammo types (and more types branching off those, hollow points, incidinery rounds, high yield explosive rockets, etc), a few revamped maps, more secret items, the ability to give more NPCs items.
The AI on enemies has been greatly enhanced, stealth is still possible but much more difficult. The Alert times is also increased, I tried making it some what realistic so that AI doesn't have the short term memory of a gold fish.
Misc:
Expect a mini mod for TNM. It won't remove weapons as drastically as this did for Vanilla DX. But it will modify existing ones and add better AI/Introduce more weapons.

Coming soon are two new releases for Modern(ish) Combat. One release will be compatible with Biomod while the other takes a step back and is compatible for plain Deus Ex.
"Destro why would you bother taking a step back on your mod?". The explanation for that is simple, the vanilla release is Gore Mod Compatible, also some people just want to get back to basics. I'd like to thank DXVentura for all his hard work and effort on improving Deus Ex's dated and some what laughable blood and guts engine. Currently Gore Mod doesn't run with shifter or biomod, but the solution is in the works. In the mean time if you are dying to give the modern weapons pack a try with the Gore Mod. Please pay DXVentura a visit at Moddb.com and try the vanilla release when it is authorized. The man has worked hard and deserves a huge thanks and pat on the back. Unfortunatly some weapons may be bugged or a bit odd with the Vanilla DX release so bare with me, I will revamp everything when it is possible. I need to apologize for losing the tactical sniper rifle in this release.
If playing with Biomod is your cup of tea please stay tuned for the download file. All weapons in the biomod edition will function just like the Shifter version. Thanks for your support and any advice you guys have given in the past month.

I'm trying to think how I can merge them. I'll give it a shot regardless. This might suck though.
I'm working on making it so it's compatible with Vanilla Deus Ex. Shifter and Biomod share many classes so it's pretty easy to convert it. I have to remove some and edit maps for it to work with Goremod. I'll come up with some custom ammo to make up for the loss of flame rounds and explosive bullets.

Honestly it might be ready by tonight, minus the less than lethal ammo. I'm up to the Gas Station when it comes to checking maps.

(Hope that holds you guys over until I fix that rifle issue and some bugs.)
Explosive rounds for sniper?
Ah heck something is seriously screwed up. if you have more than one weapon of the same family a glitch occurs. The heavy weapon was basically a 5.56 NATO Minigun ( a turret gun as the lodmesh). I guess we should try and get biomod working asap or what?
