Deus Ex 3 Teaser Trailer Released on Eidos Montreal website. New Deus Ex officially in the works!

Posted by WildcatPhoenix on Nov 26th, 2007 digg this super bookmark

Great news from Canada today. Eidos officially confirms DX3 is in the works and has set up a website for their Montreal studio. The website includes a teaser trailer for...you guessed it, DX3! Gametrailers.com

Here's hoping that many lessons were learned from the debacle that was DX2.  No release dates or screenshots yet, but stay tuned!

Well at least if the game sucks it will at least provide a decent modding platform for some good adventure/RPG mods.

Oh wow, they sampled the original theme, that made my hair stand. Is Alexander Brandon working on it? Anyone gonna start dissecting and analysing those flashing images? Haha... time will tell, time will tell.

could be another embarassment like Invisible war, or it could be the game to resurrect the franchise. We will see. Personally, i'm not going to bother getting my tits in a twist like I did about IW. Going into this one with zero expectations / negative expectations :)

lies, it was a good teaser trailer, it did what it set out to do. Tease us.

I got chills down my spine when the music went on.

It seems to me that the trailer was just something they threw together to say "hey, DX3 is coming, yes it's official, it's not just a rumor." I highly doubt those images/cryptic messages had much to do with the plot of the actual game.

LOVED the use of the original music, though. Took me right back.

Its a Teaser! They didn't throw a bunch of stuff together, this is what a teaser is suppose to be. Something to tease or announce something. You basically answered yourself even if you didn't ask a question.

Thats okay. The title says Teaser Trailer though. The reason why I get a little angry is the fact that I've been to film school and currently getting my degree in Game Design. Its just the general public jump the gun to complain then research what they dont know.

Can you please STFU? Jesus spaming 4 out of 11 comments with the same crap is not funny anymore :/ . And by the way a teaser is supposed to make you eager to see how something turns out. This in fact though means that you have to tell something that people makes eager to know more about. This bunch of recycle-me images and recycle-again meaningless texts ( in fact text and images are meaningless at best ) does not tease anything at all. This might at most go through as a quick ad on tv outside prime time hour where crappy ads are squeezed in so you get the money but not as a teaser not even remotely a trailer.

The same comment was a mistake. Dont blame me for a feature in MODDB that doesn't allow you to even edit or delete your comments.

Don't act like you know much DragonLord, your not god here. I went to school, I got my degree, I know what I'm talking about.

You know, it's funny how somebody acting like a fucking god idiot roams around calling others doing this ( although they don't ). You know what? Just because you are "educated" doesn't mean your opinion is now suddenly 100% correct and everything else is wrong! So grow up and arrive in the "real" life for once.

It is your opinion that it doesn't look as good, one screen is some hot chick, the other is the black market parts dealer, it's like comparing apples and oranges. Deus-ex IW was a fun game to play which is what's really important.

No , it's like comparing shots of the game before it had its textures and level size butchered to fit on the xbox to a game that has tiny box-rooms between loading zones, messy low resolution skins, and a horrendous helping of bloom-overdose on just about everything in sight.

It wasn't that the game was 100% not fun. It did have it's moments. What was frustrating was that put next to the depth, and engrossing cohesion of the story, characters and gameplay from Deus Ex one, invisible war was a console-castrated pile of rubbish. Argue all you want about that, or give me a little " - 1" if you'd like, eejit. But amongst the DX communitiy, of which I am an old member and still ocassional modder for, there's very few people who still play Invisible War, or treat it as anything other than a blip on the radar. THe original? There's still multiplayer servers up, and I think most of us have played through it about ten times over the course of our lives.

IW featured some dumb design decisions by Harvey Smith (universal ammo?) and it got kneecapped by being forced onto a system that didn't have enough ram to allow the level designers the room to create free and open environments.

Geez, is this really going to degenerate into a flame war over semantics?

Fine, the TEASER did not suggest to me that the images were in any way related to game material. Eidos Montreal has openly stated that they are aiming for a 2 year development window. We may not know much at all about DX3 until next year.

Agreed, but from what we saw in the trailer that looked like a next gen version of Bob Page.

There is a lot in the teaser that hints at various things. Definitely worth a check.
