I didn't make it, but I play it - basically, so far, it increases the scale of the game to something similar to the first Dawn of War. Thus far, new units have only been added to the Space Marines and Chaos, but all the factions have been reworked and re-balanced.

The new units are basic GW fanfare - Sternguard and Vanguard veterans, more Rhino and Land Raider variants, etc.

Oh, and Grey Knights, plus a Tau skin and commander for the Imperial Guard.

Any 1 wiser can tell how come cannot get mod working? I've tried that destroyer40k file is in GameAssets/mods dosen't work and that file in main folder also used on both that -nomovies -modname destroyer40k line in both attempts and still fails.

The installer unzips a destroyer40k folder, a destroyer40k.module file, and a ucs file under locale into your dow2 ret folder. It shouldnt place anything in gameassets/mods. Although itsa folder called mods, that folder is for art files contained within an SGA file only. Verify that the folder and the module file are in the dow2 root directory, and try the shortcut. Also try making a new shortcut to dow2 ret, and add the switch at the end -modname destroyer40k. You can also open up steam, go to library, go to dow2 startup properties, and add the -modname destroyer40k switch there too.

I have officially started Destroyer40k 3.0 today. I will have to do everything aside from the artwork over from scratch by myself, so it will take awhile, but I am working towards fixing a ton of bugs and things that are missing from the game since all of the patches that have been release since my mod was first started back in 2010. I will continue to be here when I can to answer questions/concerns.

I noticed you talking about the base building aspect a few posts down. Would this work? I look back at the maps and on many of them I don't see how there would be enough room. I would be in the camp as saying leave it as it is.
