In the year 2005, a total conversion mod called Ashes of Apocalypse has come into the spotlight. It was a very promising sci-fi mod, which promised a world as big as Vvardenfell, many factions to choose from, realism features such as radiation and hunger and multiple endings for the main storyline. However, the mod was scrapped after the second release and after multiple engine changes, the team who worked on this mod are now unreachable. I tried to contact both team leaders but none of them replied.

History: In 2008, I found this mod when it was already abandoned. I was very intruiged with the uniqueness of this mod and after playing the demo release, I was excited for more. As I realised that it was abandoned with no hope of any resurrection, I immediately grabbed the CS and started changing things. At first, I was just moving around objects and fixing placement bugs but before I knew it, I started expansion of the game world and writing a main storyline which surrounded the surviving faction the Redchurch Temple. The expansion and the main storyline was the first full release and came out in 2010.

The second release, UBA's Paradise, added a second main storyline which focuses on the Red Year (the year when Morrowind was destroyed when the Ministry of Truth crashed into Vivec) and a sage trying to undo it with disastrous consequences. Also, this was the first release to bring side quests to the different settlements, old and new, and the police faction (United Barrier Alliance) has their own storyline written for it. The second release came out in 2012.

I admit, this release is much smaller than the previous two releases in terms of content. However, I have been working all year on the Faren Mountains so I don't think there's a need to wait any longer for the third release (am I right?). Here are the planned features of the third release:

-Some new Zero-One ruins. Will be completed in the Icecape release.
-An expanded forest in the southeast. Will be completed in the Sandy Plains release.
-The village of New Kogotel, as well as TR's Indoril stuff. There should be a few quests in this settlement.
-A completely redone Ice Domain and a brand new Oregon border region.

New Kogotel, Bronze Pass and the Zero-One Ruins

I will strive to release my work at least once every year (though I am hoping that it will be more frequent than that!). The planned release for New Kogotel will be on 12/12/2013, with Icecape hopefully a few months after.

woweatme12345, the base mod for DR2 (Ashes of Apocalypse) has been coded so that it needs the original disk to play (and it is a TC). Try applying the No-CD patch to the EXE file in the AOA original download:

PS. I like your username :)

I have finished the first quest and I am already doing the second quest where you finally get to join the UBA. But I stopped there. Plus, the music composer did not reply. And also I fixed Moscow's Southern Plaza...

Finally, you get what people want! But still, it looks like people want more than just mercenaries and mutants. All of the things that Rookie mentioned are all present in your mod...except maybe a good amount of side quests. You can get away with it being a semi-conversion - as long as realism is kept. For example, the UBA should always be tough and gangster - and not flowery and weak.
I will ask a few FPS fans what they want to see in an FPS mod - and we'll see.

Jules, to tell you the truth, I'm aware that the hype for this mod has died down a lot. Even if I got another professional music composer to compose for this mod, interest will not dramatically increase.

UBA's Paradise is a side storyline and is supposed to get at least 98% of the missing features of AOA (mercenaries, being able to become a mutant...etc) a reality. I release my work because I am proud of my work and want to share it with others.
