No lighting on the texture, looks like solid metal base. More edging and definition is in order.
The bad lighting arrangement in the render doesn't help either.
Add things like blood after you are done with the texture.
sorry, I'm really bad at lighting scenes in any 3d app., but I set up a new render that is much less of an eyesore and because it isn't A.O. rendered, you can see the bump map. :P
