Defend yourself as they spawn terrifying monsters, possess players, and wreak havoc in their quest to destroy every survivor! Spot out the demon's shadow to uncover where they're hiding, but make sure you find a flash light, or you'll be trapped in the dark! Team work is essential if you want to survive. Stick together, share ammo, and destroy the poltergeist horde in Demons Vs Humans!
Just a quick update on the polishing phase of DvH.
Final Game Mode
After 2 years of development and playtesting from practically day 1 we are working on what we feel is the best game mode to represent fair and even teams in DvH:
Humans must survive as long as they can
Every minute a demon abilitie is given to the demon team
Every minute the demon team health and abilitiy strength gets stronger
Teams swap at the end of each round, so all players take turns being the demons & humans. The team that survived longest as humans win. The team that lost, well at least you was the most powerful demons ;)
We are removing all episode 2 content for 2 reasons. More players can play and dont have to install episode 2, and the server stability with episode 2 was horrendous (advice to all other source modders not to use ep2 with dedicated servers. listen servers are ok!). It takes just one person to join who doesnt have ep2 intalled to play for 5 minutes to take down the server.
We have 4 maps converted and assets re-modelled, the rest will come soon, as well as more maps are in development.
See the pictures, we will also be adding more videos soon of the demon knife animations for all abilities and actions!
You bet! Please contact us and join with the beta testing, regular testing on dedicated servers, if you want to host a server for testing then pm me, i can provide full instructions.
This month i want to thank Moddb and Podcast17 as i have not thanked them for the support they have provided over the last 2 years giving us the strength to keep going and inspiring invaluable team mates and contributers over the course of the project.
Thank you, and also to our team and all the great many people that have contributed, and of course the testers for keeping the game fun and on track! :)
P.S. There is a little bonus sneak peak at Facebook ;)

Since 2002 we have explored, played and enjoyed mods of all shapes and sizes just like Demons Vs Humans. We love games like Half-Life 2 that have opened themselves up to modding. Because of communities like Workshop, Nexus, Curse, RTSL, GameBanana and Mod DB, more games support modding today than ever before.
Let's celebrate modding
As mods play a bigger role in the future of gaming, we believe it is important to recognize the effort the teams behind the work put in, giving us countless hours of enjoyment while asking nothing in return. We have the power to change our games and that needs to be celebrated to ensure it remains a big part of PC gaming's future.
It all started
In 2015, when the paid modding dispute left many gamers and modders worried about the direction the industry is headed. Things have since settled down, but we believe it is important to continue this small tradition to show we are not alone in our love for mods, and the open platforms that embrace them.
Mod Appreciation Week
Nothing is more motivating than knowing something you've built is being enjoyed by others. So this week if there is a mod you love on Mod DB (or anywhere else), make the effort to shout out to them, mention and link their mod in a tweet, blog, forum or facebook post with the hashtag #modlove2016 (or click the icons above for a pre-built post).
