Delusion:Source is a single-player story about a sanitarium patient who is forced out of his institution during a violent outbreak.
You are Jacob Stiltz, a resident in Walnut Cove's Hospital for the Criminally Insane. Little is known about you, even you yourself are oblivious to yourself and your surroundings.
What happens when a lunatic is released unto the world unsupervised, with his only guidance coming from another inmate that suffers from the same condition as yourself?
It's a thriller story that only you, the player, can unfold.
Delusion:Source PLANS to bring you:
*Episodic releases.
*Not-So-Restricted Gameplay.
Not linear, but not free-roam. A nice range in-between.
*An unique storyline based on the principles of mentality and corruption.
*A chance for players to witness events through two different "worlds". The truth (reality) and your own delusional recreation of areas.
*A true sense of combat and undertaking certain tasks.
*Intriguing puzzles built to keep you busy for moments, while continuing to progress the story through them.
*A challenge. DEL:S isn't going to be your typical gun-n-runner.
You will have to conserve ammunition and health-kits to ensure your chances against the enemies that await you further in the levels.
*Advanced Melee Combat;
Many times you will find yourself without ammunition.
You will be able to pick up a variety of debris to use as a weapon.
*The "Paranoia" System;
The more disturbing imagery that the character witnesses, the more his psyche takes a hit. As your mentality takes hits, your efficiency and perception will start to deteriorate in combat.

Good evening ModDB,
While we have surely felt the blow of the school year starting, resulting in development to come to a slower pace in certain areas. We still have a couple nice things to show for this week. First, we have got our website up and running! It's mostly bare bones at the moment, as I just set it up last night. Still you can check it out here!
DelusionSource.net
Being developed only in Mozilla Firefox, dev for other browsers is not scheduled. Big thanks to Eric Needham for the domain, and Eric Davis of First Generation Gaming for the webspace!
Second, before leaving this morning to focus on his primary project Snowball:Source, Zeeky managed to get a couple things done, and get a nice headstart on others. All screens are of a experimental test release

The flashlight (currently a pistol, lol), has a dynamic light attached to the end of it. You can melee attack with it, and turn it on and off.

The syringe is used to heal yourself (currently the crowbar). It's still in dev, as the overlay will be swapped out, and there's other features planned for it.

Pretty self explanatory. His departure from the team certainly causes an immense set back in other planned features for future media releases and my pro-prototype demo time frame. I'm sure all will come to in the future, and at least it gives the design teams more time to thoroughly perfect their works.
In regards to the "Pre-Proto" statement I have just made. I would like to point out that it is my main intention to never leak story sensitive material in any sort of demonstration released by the DEL:S Team. We will always try to find a creative way that doesn't involve the story to allow you to test our work, with no fear of potential story spoilers. The actual story will not be released until the system is at least in a RC state, then the GOLD release can be used for future episodes. So while this update was quite scarce on photo related media, I do believe it was as informative and great as the previous updates, knowing that progress is being made as well as it is.

Currently our primary concern is a programmer that is experienced with the Source Engine.
We are of course, still accepting applications at our forum, or you can still email me if you would prefer it. -> sebhael@gmail.com
Have a great day!

Paranoia was great. can u do the same?
I don't know, I didn't get very far into that mod :P
I think I got to the first fight, and stopped playing because of GoldSRC's lovely hit detection.
That and the low FOV really makes me nauseous.
I might attempt to play it again here soon though.
I am glad you remember I joined the team the first time you made the news post..............[/sarcasm]
Well, tbh, I wrote all of this at work. In the restroom. lol.
Dude, I love hiding in the bathroom at work too :D
Yes, Winnar.
My favorite was the 1st theme song, but the 2nd one is good too.
Suggestion: ELECTRO REMIX!!
Maybe i'll do a D&B remix for my own personal benefit. actually, that does sound kind of fun.
I don't really see that happening unless we get really really really bored.
Which shouldn't be happening.
MMM paranoia isnt that a great thing to have :P
