In Defence Alliance (DA) you and your teammates will defend your fort from a horde of bots. You will have some minutes to prepare your machine guns and get into positions. After that the attack begins. Your mission? Simply, keep them out of your fort for about 20 min. You really need to save your ammo and teamplay is required. The mechanic must be next to you to feed your gun with ammo or else you will lose time reloading it. There are going to be 6 classes, the Mechanic, the Medic and the Marine class which is separated into 3 sub-classes. Radio commands will help you and your teammates to co-operate more effectively and protect your fort. The MOD is based near-future so do not expect any laser guns or such unrealistic weapons. As for the number of gameplays. We will first finish the current one (Protect your Fort) and then add more.

Bug Fixes:

Changed HUD Font.
Increased Frag grenade explosion radious.
Grenades and the grenade launcher bullet now spawn chunks after wall impact.
Added MGun 1 and MGun 2 traces.
Changed Grenades physics. They do not bounce that much anymore.
Changed spawn sound.
Changed MGUN 2 Fire sound.
Fixed a problem with message showing twice.
Optimized Syrigne Code.
Sniper accuracy changed. You will notice the difference by all positions of your player. (Crouching, Jumping, Walking)
Added new ammobox model.
Added new SMG for mgunner.
Fixed problem with radio sounds when MGun was ready by mech.
Everytime you go to use MGUN 'laugh2' sound is being played.
Fixed MINES collision radious.
Sniper rifle now does normal damage.
Probably fixed client problems with Choose Class.
Custom ricochet sounds added.
Fixed Sniper Rifle fire radious.
Fixed a problem with points been given all the time.
Mechanic now gets +2 points if he places mines.
Syrigne code should now work pretty fine.
Stuck bug seems not to appear any more.
Updated DA background.
Added DA Custom Bot support ('DCB'), special thanks to Namu. In order to select another Bot Model to go to 'Bots' TAB and choose a type.
Introducing new point system. Increases teamplay factor.

Hmm this mod when i first heard about it seemed quite interesting, i imagened desert fought base wars, starship troopers style, but then i played it.

Kinda icky, REALLY bad skins, but hopefully they can turn it around.

Well at least its not as bad as Neo Cairo.

indeed, the UT engine was not up to the standards to support a squad of TeamMates (16max) and a horde of bots, so bot numbers where lowerd, i for one want more SS tropper action :) dont worry when we move this baby over to the new engine this is one of the things we have planned.

I just think alot of people are affraid to go near the SS engine due to the fact croteam are new kids on the block, the engine IS awsome for a first time developer.
Im just wondering what their next gen build will be like :o
