Overview
The year is 2055, more than thirty years after the events of Zero Hour, Earth suffers a catastrophic collision with meteorites. The world is thrown into turmoil as large swathes of land are annihilated. Four factions, the ADF (Asian Democratic Federation), WEA (West European Alliance), WLF (World Liberation Front), and AC (American Confederacy) are at war for control of the remaining already harder to find resources as well as the preservation of their nations and geopolitical interests. Welcome to Deep Impact.

Deep Impact (formerly European Conflict) is a total conversion mod for zero hour started by the EC Team and now developed by No Life Studios. The mod will add four new factions with two playable divisions:

The AC - American Confederacy

Divisions:
1. Armor Command - Heavy ground vehicles. Strong air support. Limited infantry, defenses and air-to-air.
2. Airforce Command - Advanced drones. Heavy air units. Strong defenses. Limited ground units.

The WEA - West European Alliance

Divisions:
1. Continental Defense - Heavy defenses. Deployable defensive units. Heavy infantry. Strong gunships. Limited assault units.
2. Mechanized Assault - Strong defenses. Strong infantry and vehicle combos. Limited air units.

The ADF - Asian Democratic Federation

Divisions:
1. Ballistics Command - Powerful artillery. Heavy base defenses. Limited infantry and air units.
2. Electronic Warfare Command - Heavy use of hacking, electronic disruption, and tesla weapons. Weaker individual units.

The WLF - World Liberation Front

Divisions:
1. Cobra Cell - Toxins and status effect weapons. Strong in numbers and combined arms. Weak as individuals.
2. Scorpion Cell - Suicide and stealth/ambush tactics. Weak in direct engagements.

Infantry Update 1

Hello once again, and welcome to another DI update. This update is all something that I've been trying to avoid for as long as possible due to it being a total pain in the ass to do: New Infantry Models! W00t! So without further ado, let's get on with the update!

WEA Legionaire

Named in reference to the members of the feared ancient Roman legions as well as due to their intensive training with the Foreign Legion, the Legionnaires hold up to their name. They are the basic infantry of the WEA and are most commonly armed with light machine guns linked to their integrated HUD systems (hailing from past European combat systems such as the F√ČLIN), which they can effortlessly wield due to their armoured exo-suit. Additionally, in urban battles and when their commander sees fit, Legionnaires can be issued grenade launchers with incendiary grenades to effectively damage and clear buildings. Additionally they are equipped state of the art military grade laptops, that allow them to hack into and capture enemy structures.

WEA Phalanx

WEA Railgun technology has seen many breakthroughs in recent years, and their most recent breakthrough places this technology directly in the hands of their infantry. When WEA High Command demanded updated dedicated anti-tank weaponry, many came to showcase their designs, but ZTech took the cake with their portable rail-rifle concept. After refining the railgun to be as light and cheap as possible, the so-called "Railrifle X-4" was introduced to the grunts of the WEA AT division in 2043, and thus the Phalanx was born. The technology advancements of the Phalanx don't just stop at their weapon, their battlesuits are an advanced project by the Cynopolies Nano-Engineering division, developed as an alternative to exosuits. Equipped with special nano-fibers capable of augmenting the trooper's physical strength, it allows them to carry the still relatively heavy railrifle, without the bothersome feeling normally associated with wearing an exosuit. In addition, the Nano-fiber cape they wear is designed to act as a shield against shell explosions and shrapnel, giving Phalanxes a far greater survivability against tank gun fire then regular grunts. While their hooded appearance and long rifles makes them look like snipers, Phalanx soldiers lack the marksmanship training making them ineffective against infantry and aircraft.

WEA Lancer

As aircraft become more and more advanced, so do the weapons built to eliminate these "pests of the sky". The Lancer Missile System is the latest "man-portable sam site" developed by the WEA. After going through a few failed prototypes, including AA photon cannons, Ztech enginners stuck with a design made up of an oversized missile fired from a simple shoulder mounted launcher coupled with an advanced miniature radar and targeting system worn like a backpack. As usual, WEA infantry exo-suits allow the "Lancers", as they've been called, to carry these monsters and their ammunition with ease, and the explosives packed into one Lancer missile offer quite an explosive punch against aircraft.

the models u have posted in the images look really good, i think im gonna love playin as the european faction,cant wait til it comes out.(will there be a demo released btw?). keep up the good work. prob one of the best looking mods for zero hour i have seen.

I'm afraid we won't be releasing a demo.
We will go straight to the full version when we have completed it.
As Pav3d said, "its going to be the full 3 base factions all playable in skirmish and online"

There were talks at one point of releasing a demo, but as Mike said, it was eventually decided that a demo wasn't really worth it for the amount of time and how long it would take to produce an entirely new release candidate- while our internal alpha's would have to be put on hold. So we decided it wasn't worth it- so it'll all be released together, soon enough :P.

id rather have the full version than a demo, some mods release demos, and then as u said we have to wait longer for the full thing. and besides what content would actually be put in the demo, as this is a a complete rework of factions and models, the new models would seem out of place with the old ones and what factions would they go in, wouldn't work if u did put a demo for this mod. but yeah, cant wait. stop slacking and answering comments, get back to work! lol.(sorry for long comment, made even longer with this apology)

The UAN faction is my favorite in terms of design,
but you realy need to redesign some of their units.
The planes look like cold war era soviet airplanes that appaears ancient in EC,s futuristic setting, and please redesign the UAN infantry, something like RA2 conscript or ROTR shocktrooper would be more suitable for a faction like UAN
