The year is 2055, more than thirty years after the events of Zero Hour, Earth suffers a catastrophic collision with meteorites. The UAN has been playing with flame technology for years. Ever since the Chinese deployed their first dragon tanks, the UAN has had an obsession with fire. Add to this their typical strategy of taking successful designs, and instead of mass producing them, making them... big... and you get the DragonLord. Apparently, they took the chassis from one of their old overlord tanks, cut up the turret, and mounted a pair of massive, industrial strength flamethrowers too them. There is a much disputed theory, ever since images of the tank and a video of it torching protesters at the Kosovo Industrial Complex, that the Chinese are actually developing the tank to deal with a threat of zombies. The complete lack of logic regarding the theory has not stopped its circulation throughout the internet.
Looks very bigger than the overlord.
In-game It's about the same size as the ZH overlord. :)

Mammoth?
The dragon lord, as the Lore said is based off a modified ZH chinese overlord chassis. Therefore I assume the reason your comparing it to a mammoth tank is the 4 treads and duel barrel design? :S
That means you are really comparing the mammoth to an overlord tank and yes I think the mammoth and overlord designs do look similar. :P

Honestly, every CnC had a kind of super tank with dual barrel or something similar to it. This beast here is definitivly NOT a mammoth, but it keeps to this classic CnC style, like the Overlord does as well. Indeed, a lord onto the dragon tanks... Napalmlord...

Even the chassis is similiar to Mammoth tank, the model of the turret is TOTALLY DIFFERENT...
Well most heavy tanks in C&C games look like mammoths. The chassie is simply my view of the next generation Overlords. More armor, higher technology, but same bad-*** heavy tank. And if you look at the mammoth chassie in bouth shockwave and cnc3 you will see that the chassie is smaller, the threads are larger and of a different design, and the turret is placed verry close to the front part of the chassie. Again it looks alot more like the Overlord than it looks like a mammoth.
So, the next-gen Overlord...
