Decay is the story of a human life. From the second a human being is born, they are in a perpetual state of Decay. This game explores that concept, taking you through a surreal version of our own world. Decay was made by a group of 5 students at Champlain College as an out of class project on their own time. It was an expirement in a lot of ways for the designer, writer, and artists. There are a few rough edges to be ironed out before the games actual release, but it will be along shortly for anyone to play. Note: Half-Life 2: Episode 2 is required to play this mod.

The first playable version of Decay is now up for download! I very much consider this to be a work in progress, and I appreciate all criticism on the environments, themes, puzzles, etc. There are still a lot of visual tweaks and optimizations to be made to the map. I plan on working useful suggestions into the mod in the future and patching them in.

I'll also be updating the screenshots in the image gallery to reflect the visual changes in the game.

Enjoy!

Open the gameinfo.txt in the decay directory and modify the file to read

SteamAppId 218
ToolsAppId 211

and add the line somewhere in file:

AdditionalContentID 420

Then restart steam

Congratulations. I really enjoyed this mod, it was so much different that most of the other mods out there and fresh breath of air into the scene. You should be proud at what you have achieved here.

wow dude. nobody forced you to play it. sure you didn't have to enjoy it, but if you put effort into something you wouldn't want someone puting it down as horribly as you have. It seems to me you set out to gain attention by hating on something so many people have enjoyed. Personally I thinks this makes you an immature angsty 15 year old with a personality disorder that forces you to gain attention by being extremely negative against impressive creations. buttttt w/e it's your opinion. judging by your writing stlye your going to reply in some negative way in order to annoy me or make me feel depressed by out smarting me. heres a hint go f#@% yourself kid.
