Deathmatch: Ultimate is a mod for HL2DM in which we will be replacing almost everything. Most of the weapons are getting re-skinned, weapons will have stronger capabilities such as the Gravity Gun being able to pick up and shoot cars at other players. The ability to dual wield pistols, and much much more! Think of this mod as a revamp, or kick in the pants for Deathmatch. Everything is going to be changed, and everything will blow your mind. Especially popping somebody's head with a Magnum.
Deathmatch: Ultimate is brought to you by..

NEWS
Since we've been working hard here at Deathmatch: Ultimate I see nothing wrong about releasing the weekly update a tad early. In this update we will go over what we've done, and how much closer we are to completion.
This week has been a hard week for both of us. I've been working on the programming, website design and what-not where as Vimelin has been hard at work designing the maps. He is currently working on a Parking Lot style map which features both above ground, and underground parking. So expect some screenshots of that shortly. Our progress is listed below. Not to mention
Programming (45% Completed)
Weapon Re-Skins/Changing (95% Completed)
Mapping (15% Completed)
FEATURES
This week we've got some juicy tid-bits. So here you go, something for your eyes to devour.
Our Crowbar has been replaced with a Wrench. Much more satisfying for busting heads.
And we've replaced the HL2 Pistol with the TS Gyurza. Very nice, and sounds good too.
Honorable Mentions
The entire Ultimate Dev Team would like to send their condolences to the family of iGuy. He was the weapon animator for Lost World Source and has passed away. May he rest in peace, we shall complete and finish this mod for a fellow friend and gamer.
This weeks update is graced over the details of the mod, and the basis. Not to mention what you can expect in the release of the mod and much much more!
iguy is dead ?!
those skins are from fpsbanana, you better credit the original authors or at least ask them first.
I sent them messages, and contacted them.
We will credit them
Reskins and dual pistols?
Well what I want for DM is a bit different:
- Reducing the sounds of the combine soldiers footsteps.
- Fixing of the explosion beep glitch.
- A little bit more weapon balance
- HDR maps, lighting...
- Friendly_fire 0 by default
- In-game voice system.
- Achievements (okay, this one is a joke)
- CTF by default and not as a seperate mod
- The ability to select NOT to download custom sounds or files. Man I hate that so much. HL2DM is NOT QUAKE/UT, why the hell would anyone want those sounds in it? If I want to play Quake I play Quake live, and I don't want to hear it every time someone kills another player with a crowbar. That's freakin' stupid.
And I can make this list even longer. But these are just my things, I would make a custom mod if I can program C++
And Vidra we will do some weapon balance and the ctf idea I really like :D Things we wrote down here is just some things we start with. We will make more things than what we wrote down. :)
Don't bother with HDR that much, the main thing is gameplay!
I actaully turn it off in most of multiplayer mods, because there is better visibility with HDR off.
Reprioritize your work. Code, Maps & Gameplay first, then you worry about your skins.
You dont need to tell us about reprioritize our work. People work different.
Maybe if you followed my advice, your mod wouldn't have died in less then a month.
