Hello, Death-Wish is a Comedy style Half-Life 2 Modification. The players will have to commit suicide in as many ways possible, There will be a wide variety of maps and a few new weapons (yes, Some you will be able to shoot yourself with) The first player to reach -100 points wins the round, The first player to reach 100 points will automaticly loose the game. You can kill other players before they complete their suicide attempt but when you gain a kill you will loose a point. This should be an enjoyable Half-Life 2 Modification and Yes, There will be suicide bombers for all you bomb lovers out there! -Death to all, May nothing survive!-

Death-Wish is a comedy style Half-Life 2 Modification where all the players will have to suicide untill one player reaches the score of -100. You can kill other players in order to stop them from gaining a suicide but you will then loose a point, If a player gets the score of 100 he will become the Looser of the round. There will be many ways to kill yourself including Suicide bombing, Free Falling, Drugging, Drowning, Burning, and much more. We have recently had a media blast showing off a few maps we have got completed, Below are some images.

hehe this does actually sound fun to try, but I have to agree with Aeneas2020, because the hole idea/gameplay could have been presented in a less... what shall I say... grotesque way.

Errr, it's a ver original idea and that's to be commended. However I don't think this mod will last for long without a team aspect of it, are you working on that?
nice...yet i fear this is exactly the kind of thing the press loves i can just see the headlines now "Games encourage young people to commit suicide" *sigh* ah well keep up the work.
I love the idea. Great concept. I assume you are going to remove the ability to "kill in console" right? I also hope you are thinking of the next level of having traps that people can use to kill themselves instead of just shooting barrels. Very funny stuff. You'll get bashed for having a different idea but dont let that bother you.

Seems to be a fun mod to play every now and then on LAN or with some friends
Sounds a pretty amusing concept. You may wish to alter the scoring system a little mind - in my eyes there's no reason to kill an opponent if it means you're going to gain the point that they would have lost; it basically means you're still on the same standings whether you kill them or not.
If that opponent has say -99 you would want to stop him from gaining the point then winning so you may kill him in order to stall them.
I hope you plan on disabling the suicide command from the console, otherwise things won't be NEARLY as fun as you'd hope. Friends and I used to bind the key to mouse1 on each others computers when one went to the bathroom etc.

I like this idea, it sounds like fun. I'd like to echo The Ambershee's concern about the scoring system. Maybe if someone gets killed, make them gain two points or something, so that killing poeple is more than worth the hassle of finding weapons, etc. I don't know, you figure that sort of stuff out, but otherwise, even when someone is on 99, there is no point in killing them, as the most it will achieve is letting some other opponant win.
Either way, fun stuff. I found that binding the "s" key to kill when someone goes to the bathroom is the most fun. NO RETREAT!! Takes them ages to figure it out...
